  1. My wife and I went to Long Island for our interview today. She was very nervous and she was more nervous that we didnt get an interpretor (shes from Colombia). She thought that she would get alot of tough questions and worked really hard to remember dates and other small stuff. Practicing her English alot and making herself sick. Well, the interview was actually for me. I was asked many many many questions. Not difficult questions. Just the same questions over and over and asked in many different ways. He checked our mobile phones. He asked her where I was born and she responded with the city and state, but he asked "what hospital?" well obviously she didnt know. But he seemed happier to know that she wasnt rehearsing or memorizing every single detail. I was asked kind of embarrasing questions about my history. well,,,, in the end we were approved. We're cooking dinner and opening a bottle of wine.

Happy to be together and Good luck to all.

They told us not to worry about the FBI name check. that it should have been done already. I dont know???

  2. My wife and I were looking for a civil surgeon for her vaccination supplement and we got all kinds of prices. The prices ranged from $100 in Manhattan to $260 in the Bronx. When I explained that all we needed was the transfer of information from her vaccination record to a supplement form I was warned that she would need all of these other vaccines and other tests. That she would need an HIV test and all of these other tests that are only valid for six months. Which all of this information is wrong. Dr Patel's office in the Bronx was the most expensive and they said that most likely she would also need more vaccines and of course they only take CASH. We found a doctor out in Jamaica Queens Vijay Sakhuja 718 262 9150 He charged us $45. He was honest with us and charged us what his secretary said. Although he likes to talk and talk and talk but its still well worth the savings. Thought you could all benefit from this information.

  3. We just got our interview date, but we're confused with a couple of issues. My wife will need an interpretor. We're both nervous that she may answer something incorrectly not understanding a question. Who can interpret? Someone thats certified or a family member? Do they provide one?

They're asking for the medical exam in a sealed envelope. That was kept at the embassy in Bogota. We dont have that anymore. We do have a copy of the vaccination report. Do we do another medical exam just to be safe?

Does anyone know how to get a social security number? Its near impossible. We've gone with a stamp on passport and now with the EAD card and they keep sending us away that its not in the system. Nothing they can do. Now we're going into the interview with no joint bank accounts nothing in her name since you need a SS number to do anything.
