  1. hello everyone, i'd like to ask those USC who went to visit their loved ones in the Philippines and stayed fore more than a month about "visa extension"? I mean, you're only allowed to stay for a couple of weeks, right? Where do you get an authorization so you can stay longer? Thanks.

  2. Does the one on one interview during CFO Seminar really hard? Everybody will really undergo one on one interview?

hi, not everyone goes into one on one interview. Usually its group counselling. But if you have red flags such as multiple divorce, physical abuse as a reason for divorce and huge age gap, They might one to talk to you one on one and ask you questions about your petitioner. You must answer them correctly and confidently. Dont let them see that you are unsure.

In my case, After the group counselling and lecture, my certificate and sticker was released. No more questions asked. Other filipinas were told to schedule their one on one counselling and bring stuff like divorce decree or pictures, affidavit of support....

  3. She went back yesterday and took the entire I-129F packet, the entire Interview packet, my W2 and my 2012 1040. She was there pretty much all day and they asked her where do you get a marriage contract, what do you after you are married, what are the forms you need for adjustment of status, how long is the first green card for, after the first green card expires what forms do you need to submit for a permanent green card, where do you file that to? Obviously, she didn't know all of that so they denied her again.

You just said she was not able to answer stuff about the greencard, expiration, when to file again, forms needed to submit... It means she didn't pay attention to the lectures. The answers for those are in the lectures.

If your fiancee was able to answer those questions from the first time she was asked, after the lecture, one one one counselling won't be needed anymore.

The CFO people wanted your fiancee to know those things so that she'll have knowledge about the legal way of staying in the USA, and not to be out of status...

for the next counselling session, tell your fiancee to relax, and smile, and act confident.

  4. hi, during my CFO seminar, i was asked about the stuff that they asked from your fiancee too. But before that, counselling happens. So she has to really pay attention. After the counselling, she must be able to answer those stuff. If not, it only shows she is not ready yet, or she didn't listen to the lectures.

Also,if they are giving her a hard time, it must be because the CFO people is not sure whether she will be fine when she get to USA or not. Sometimes also, age gap matters during the counselling. They will ask her many things about the petitioner. If the petitioner has been married before like 2 or more times, she will also be asked if she knew the reason of the divorce. If one of the reason of the divorce is domestic violence, she will also have to answer stuff and prove that the petitioner is in a good state of mind and won't hurt her.

Those questions are normal questions that are being asked in the seminar. If your fiancee paid attention during the lectures, she will be able to answer those questions coz those were all the lectures are all about.

  5. Awesome, awesome information, thank you so much. Yes she has a zero balance and has her diploma.

having her diploma with her clearly means she completed the course. Tell her to use her strong personality when she speak to the head of nursing dept  . She has all the rights on her records.

Some nursing schools in the Philippines use the student's record to force her to review in the school's preferred review center because they get a discount from the review center.

  6. oh! that's what happened to my friend who studied in SWU too. They did not release her TOR. what she did was bring her parents to the school and speak to the head of the nursing department. The parents tried to speak with the head of the registrar but the guy told them to ask the head of the nursing department. My friend's father told the Nursing dept head that they will sue the school if they don't release the TOR within 2 weeks.

But prior to that, the parents contacted the CHED in cebu and ask for advice. The CHED told them to go to the school and speak to them about releasing the records, and if the school still hold it, they can come back to the CHED and the CHED will write a letter to the school... After the parents speak to the nursing dept, the TOR was released after 2 weeks.

---if the student already finished the course, paid all fees, she can ask the school to release her records anytime. Also, it is a policy of the CHED that no school are permitted to force their graduate to attend in a particular review center. The student must choose freely.

  7. Thanks for the replies everyone!

She was in Canada when we processed her papers and it was during winter so she did get a flu shot. I copied and sent a copy of the vaccination forms from the doctor with his signature. I didn't get to see the form that was sent as part of our K1 packet, of course, so I can't say what kind of checkboxes were checked.

    Wish us luck!

you can start looking for civil surgeon in your area who will not rip you off so you would have a list if ever you get the RFE. and it would be easy for you to complete the requested evidence.

  8. I know some people here who did not get RFE by submitting the vaccination worksheet from st. Lukes alone. BUT some did get RFE. So mostly here just go to civil surgeon and pay for the I-693 just to be sure they dont get RFE.

I read some posts here saying they got RFE because they did not go to civil surgeon to update their vaccination records, and not getting the flue shot. Some says you need the flue shot if you submitted the AOS during flu season. So if the vaccination record did not include flu vaccine since it's not flu season in the philippines when they had their medical exam, but you submit your AOS petition during flu season here in USA, they usually ask for I-693 with flu vaccine given on the record.
