WOW! If it is possible to overdue documentation I think you came close. Don't take this hard as its not meant to be but, it probably didn't require that much.
I think the key on the I-751 is to remember this line from the VJ I-751 Instructions: "On the "don't panic" front -- ultimately the burden of proof is on the CIS to show a fraudulent marriage."
We only sent in stuff from the examples. If it fails I'll write in to take back my above comments

My wife is from CZ and we had the same dilema. However, think about this...Where will you live? If you will both live in the US you can image how having a different last name then you husband will go over in any kind of paperwork, banking etc etc. My wife ended up taking my last name as is no "ova" at the end. When you go to the Czech Rep they will probably add it to the end sometimes for her but they understand and it won't be a big deal. Obviously my opinion is keep the same last name. Then again my credo is 'make life simple so, you can enjoy it more'
My Czech fiancé’s name is Jindrich Goc. If I were Czech then my last name would be Gocova. Are there any American ladies out there that have taken the feminine version of the male's last name? I could be Wenona Goc or Wenona Gocova. Then when we have children the boys would have the last name of Goc and the girls would have the last name of Gocova. Any comments or thoughts out there? Thanks. -
Thanks for the answers nemu and shirlJ831. However, according to what I've read on this site, whether they stamp your passport or not is site dependant. Meaning Denver may not stamp. I'm looking for anyone who has went through the Denver office for an interview.

Hey, anyone been through the AOS interview process yet in Denver for a K1? Would specifically like to know if they stamp the passport with the I-551? What the experienced average wait to get the "greencard"? Do they usually approve on the spot?

Just to add...you aren't required to have a ssn for either health insurance, bank account or state ID. Though in most cases for state ID if you don't have an ssn you'll need a ssn denial letter. We were caught in that wonderful gov't catch 22. You need a ssn to get your state ID...go to the SSA and they tell us we need a state ID to get an SSN (name change complicated this)...after getting someone that knew at the DMV found we could get one with a denial letter from the SSA...4 visits later to the DMV and 3 visits to the SSA and we have our ID and SSN(pending anyways)

I also live here in Colorado (Denver) Make an appoitment with infopass, it doesn't matter where your application is its possible they can give you a better answer at the local office. Though I wouldn't count on it. I've been there a number of times and usually they have a one sentance response for me. You best bet is to go through your congressman. Mark Udall helped me. Twice I went to him with problems and each time shortly after my case moved forward.
He gets my vote from now on...NOTE: you may have to wait anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours to see someone at the local office. Arrive there 15 minutes early and be preparred to wait... You need ID to get in and you'll be going through a metal detector. Parking is on the street.

We have the same issue.
We sent in our paperwork for AOS and have just received notice for the interview and will receive the EAD in a couple of days. When would be the best time to do the name change?Since my fiance still has her maiden name and our AOS package is in process, would it be wise to do a name change or would it complicate things?

in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion

Well we just got the conditions removed today so, I guess I can speak on this. We moved right before we had to file so, we also didn't have any friends around to fill out affidavits so, my sister and her 18 year old son each did one for us. While we provided framework for what to say we let them talk about our relationship in their own words, even allowing for the 18 year old say it in an 18 year olds language. I don't know if they helped but, we only turned in what was listed in the instructions and no more.
