  1. Hi guys! my mom is here in the US for 3 weeks now and I received a letter from the USCIS about the immigrant fee. I created an account in ELIS. I don't have her DOS number. I tried the NVC case number but its wrong. and my moms NVC number is 12 digits. I exclude the last part and its wrong.

    I also got this message:

if your visa was issued less than five (5) days ago, you may not be able to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee at this time. Based on the date you entered, we recommend that you log into your USCIS ELIS account on or after August, 01, 2015 to pay the fee.

the visa of my mom is more than 5 days ago. and I did not enter a date on anything. I cannot call USCIS also. I cannot reach a real person. please help me... thanks

  2. I called to ask for the results and the guy told me NEGATIVE. I was shocked because i read they never say the results over the phone. I was so excited and happy so i scheduled mom for vaccination on the 8th of April.

After an hour i called again to confirmed( i have a certain feeling thats somethings wrong) i talked to a woman and she said its still in process. I told her the guy told me its negative and she asked to come back on the 8th. She was mad to her co employee because of telling the results to me. And she cant see that results herself. She is seeing in process. But she checked the computer and my mom has scheduled on 8th. So she told me to just tell my mom to come and bring the neccessary docs. So im not sure now if the results is negative or positive. So sas i already told this to my mom before i make the second call. She was so happy and dont want to ruin it.

  3. Aside from the required list of documents, did the USCIS ask for any additional proof? I read one poster that says mom was asked to supply all original documents including death certificate if widow and police clearances from countries she stayed longer than 6 months. Any idea?

yes, they will asked if you dont send everything they need. so better read all the required documents before sending it. or else you will wait aother 60 days if you get a checklist. i didnt get one so my petition was quick.

  4. $10 for an hour is expensive that is about 16.66 cent per minutes. I have use calling cards before, that was way less then that. And as a lot other members mention on here there is way better options then that

for me its cheaper than those useless cards I've used before. the convenient of using your own phone and number and just dialing the numbers you want to call without going outside to buy cards coz you can get the Skype credit online. besides my husband use our phone to call without using Skype and for 15 minutes he was charged $60.

  5. Btw I arrived here in the US in Feb.07 I was told to report to the nearest local health dept ASAP. My fiancé called them and they told him that they will contact us as soon as they get my docs that the POE officer took from my Visa packet. I was given back the medical records from SLEC (I think) which I have to submit to the local health dept and they will conduct series of tests again.

congrats!!!! my moms result and pulmo eval is on Feb 10, she was treated too way back 2010. so I hope its negative.

yes, he will do another sputum tests here in the US.
  6. No more speculations! My Dad confirmed that their sputum result is negative and they're scheduled for Immunization on Feb 2nd. PTL! :dancing:

So I called and setup the Interview for Feb 18th as it was the earliest available slot they have.

I truly appreciated all the info!

    great! congrats!

  7. I was hoping to get the Feb 9th but it's gone now so it doesn't really matter. There are a few spots with Feb 17th as the earliest available.

I appreciate it. My Dad decided to go to St. Lukes personally as he was asked to get a clearance from his doctor and provide it to them. So he will hand deliver it to them and hopefully he will get a clearer info.

good! besides theres a lot of slots available for ir5. so need to worry. everything will happen in Gods time.

  8. I was trying to locate such post but i couldn't find it.

The other people that did their sputum test with them that had positive result have been called on Jan 13th to start their treatment. My Dad even called SLEC to ask why they were not called yet and they were told that they are not on that list, but rather call back on Jan 30th to schedule Immunization. But they were called January 23rd and was told to come back on Feb 2nd and bring all theirs docs, including passports.

I wish my parents asked more specific questions, but they didn't and assumed that Feb 2nd is for immunization.

well, its up to you, if you think you're 100% sure its negative then call the embassy and make an appointment. but if you will ask me, the best thing to do is wait. nakapag hintay ka nga ng 2 moths ano ba naman yung ilang days lang diba? and its not easy to reschedule then after you find out its positive, call and reschedule again... just my POV.
