  1. Ours was submitted June 23 with NOA1 June 27. I think CSC has more petitions to be adjudicated now coz I've read from posts here that some petitions from TSC were transferred to CSC. There's nothing you can do for now but to patiently wait. Those cases that were approved like 20 or 30 days probably were expedited for some reasons like petitioners who are in Military. Just hang in there. Your approval will come before you know it.

  2. @David and Zoila

Thank you so much for giving your kind thoughts. I believe that though my was past with my ex boyfriend didn't work well, but it doesn't mean that I don't have any right to move on and fall in love again. I never entered into a new relationship until I felt I had totally moved on. And before I entered into a new relationship, I did really research on what to do with the previous petition filed. I'm just so lucky that I can still have a contact with my ex and he never just leave me hanging. He had to withdraw the petition without any hurt feelings because it was a mutual decision to split up. Both of us have moved on with our lives peacefully.

Well, I have known my current bf now for 7 months already. I've been very genuine about my past and never hide anything. The good thing is he has never judged me because he knows that I'm not the only beneficiary in the Philippines who has gone through this kind of petition. Both of us have felt that we both fall in love though we haven't met yet in person. That's why he wants to visit me in March and April. By that time that we will both meet in person, then we will decide whether or not he will file. But right now, we can both feel that our relationship is serious and genuine though people might judge me based on my past.

Yes, you are right meeting him in person, I can tell whether I love him or not by looking into his eyes and then I can decide whether to commit to him for marriage.

Of course, I will always tell the truth. There is nothing more important than being VERY HONEST in everything!

  3. I had a similar case as yours. But as far as I knew and what I read, your previous petitions filed should be withdrawn by your petitioner because during the interview it will still appear on their system as "active". The USCIS will still approve petitions even if in the past your ex fiancee petitioned you, but you will have a problem during the interview. Ive read the same case as yours, and they got denied due to a multiple petition filed to the beneficiary. So in my case, I had to ask my ex fiance to withdraw the petition at the US Embassy to avoid problems in the future especially the interview stage. My ex fiance submitted a withdrawal letter to the US Embassy then after a month we got a response from them that our petition will automatically be revoked. But they have to send it back to the NVC, then to the USCIS. After a month, we got another letter from the USCIS, informing us that they already received the petition from the US Embassy for further review. I think based on my research it will take 6 months. I will be hoping that in February I will get the final revocation letter from them. I read a post today. You can check more details from my post.

  4. @ I and B Thank you again for your nice advice. I told everything about what you said to my bf and he totally agreed with you. We just feel sad knowing that they may the one who will interview may judge us subjectively. Well it could happen right? Actually if he visits me in April that time will actually past 1 year and 3 months since my petition got approved. I guess every person has the right to move on regardless of how long the time is after a break up. I shared about your opinion to my new bf and he said we just really have to prove that our relationship is very genuine. My past is not a basis for them to think suspicious about me. He said, that since he just started his new job, he can only visit me twice. One is our first meeting and the second one is during the interview at the embassy. He would really love to be with me during the interview so that he can tell the consul that he is ready to marry me and convince them that we are committed for marriage. Well, he just got so excited about us, but he also understood that we would better have to wait until i get the final revocation letter from the USCIS before he will file for a petition.

  5. @Janice and Micah

I see, I don't need to pass those important documents if ever my new bf files for and I-129F in the future? I was thinking that the USCIS might need them, so to avoid RFE, we would better submit them in order to avoid delay. Yeah, I agree with you that the time was really close, so probably we will just wait for another year for him to file for a petition in order for the consul not to doubt about me.

  6. @ I and B

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, I'm keeping all the good record from my ex-fiancee. Anyway, it is just his plan to meet me in March and file right after our meeting. That's why I'm seeking advice from VJ members so that we will be able to make the right decision as to when is good to file for a petition after our meeting. Well, last question, by the time that he will file a petition for me, do we have to submit all the past documents from my ex like NOA2, withdrawal letter and any letters from the USCIS that I got?

  7. Hello my fellow VJ members,

I'm posting this topic to seek experiences from different people especially from the Philippines who have experienced the same situation as me. I hope you will be kind enough to give advice and not judge me as a person. To make my story short, my ex- fiance and and I made a mutual decision not to pursue the fiancee visa after our petition got approved due to some personality differences and we realized that if we pursued on the fiancee visa we would not be successful in our marriage. As we all know marriage is a lifetime commitment. We split up just few weeks after we our petition got approved on January 2013. We have been in good terms since we split up and that's the good thing about us. I asked him to withdraw the petition around January 2013, while it was on the USCIS stage, but because of his busy schedule on his job it took him 6 months ( June 2013) to finally submit a withdrawal letter at the US Embassy in Manila. As soon as the US Embassy in Manila received the letter, we got a letter informing us that the petition is automatically revoke upon the formal withdrawal letter sent by the petitioner and our petition was sent back to the USCIS for further review. I researched about how long it takes for the USCIS to give a final decision, and based on what I read, it would take around 6 months. So now, I'm currently waiting for the USCIS final decision.

After my split-up with my ex-fiancee few months ago, I was finally able to move on with my life with no hurt feelings and was ready to enter into a new relationship which I believe is my right. So now, I'm currently talking to a guy whom I met on an online dating site and I was being very honest to him. He knew everything about my past and he understood it. This guy has never petitioned any girl. He doesn't even have any idea how to go about the petition and fiancee visa until he met me. So far, everything goes well for both of us and we both are very serious getting to know each other. On top of it, he told me that he wants to meet me on March 2014 and files a petition in April even if I haven't received yet the final revocation from the USCIS. As of now, I've been waiting for 4 months already and it will hit the 6th month of February 2014. Hopefully by that time, I will be able to get the final letter. So here are my questions:

    1. Is it advisable for my current bf to visit me this coming March even if I haven't received the final letter from the USCIS?

    2. Isn't it going to be a problem if he files for a petition for me in April right after he visits me, even if I haven't got the final decision from the USCIS?

    3. Is it a red flag on my part during my future interview, that it only took me like 6 months to find another guy after we both decided to split up? Well, it was a mutual decision and I have to be honest if ever they ask me. Is there such thing like I have to wait for a year to move on and find another guy just not to sound suspicious for the US Embassy consul? LOL...

    4. I learned that once a petitioner has to wait for two years in order to file for another petition to another beneficiary, now does it apply to the beneficiary as well? Like in my case, my ex filed in 2012, so does it mean to say that I have to wait until 2014 for my new bf to file a petition for me?

Thank you so much for taking much time to read my post. I do really appreciate your help and hopefully get some good advice. God bless!

  8. Hi there, our case was almost 8 months at Vermont. We filed on May 2 and NOA1 was May 8. We got approved on January 4. We called USCIS to file for a service request many times until we finally could file a service request. The tier 2 gave us the referral no. of service request and after 2 weeks got the letter. If you did the service request then it's on its way. Just wait for the letter the USC will send your fiance and after a week you will be approved. I made a post about how I survived at Vermont for 241 days since NOA1. Don't lose hope and most of all pray. Waiting is really tough and it needs a lot patience. Take care and positive vibes.

  9. It has been 8 months since NOA 1. what happened to the VSC? is there anybody here with my status?

  10. I know it's hard to wait especially at Vermont. But there's nothing you can do, WAIT. Patience is a virtue and never give up. I've been through a lot of waiting also, but I had to be patient until I got my approval for almost 8 months, 241 days to be exact. So hang in there and just make yourself busy with other things that make you feel more relaxed. Yours will come soon the least you expect. God will take care of it. Nothing is in impossible in HIM. Keep yourself positive and be more patient. Good luck and God bless :)

  11. So my fiance and I have been waiting for NOA2 for almost 6 months now. I scanned the papers I sent him for I 129f packet and found out that in my Fiance Intent to Marry I incorrectly wrote "Fiance Intent to Marry" which suppose to be Fiancee Intent to Marry and in my address there I put 1920 zip code instead of 1900..

    What to do now?

Is there a possibility of getting denial because of that? :crying::( TIA

It's depends on the adjudicator who will check your case. Just wait for them to notify you. Anyway, they will send you an email if you get an RFE. With that mistake, I guess it's not a big issue. You wont be denied with that problem. Waiting at Vermont is really long. Mine took almost 8 months to get an approval without an RFE. So hang in there and wait for them to notify you.

  12. What is this Tier 1/Tier 2 stuff? It's the first time I've seen it on this site and am a bit confused!

Here is a link for you to get an idea about tier 1 and tier 2. I used this link when I filed for a service request because our case passed the normal processing time at Vermont. So when you call the USCIS use this guide. Good luck and keep me posted. God bless:)

When you want to file for a service request make sure to speak to a tier 2. When you call, it's the tier 1 who answers your call. Tell the tier 1 that you would like to speak to a tier 2, just be patient enough to wait coz you will be hold on for like 30-40 minutes until you get to speak to a tier2. Just follow the guide. Once you speak to a tier2 dont forget to ask his name and the referral no. Finally, when the tier 2 puts you on a service request, he/she will tell you to expect a letter from the USCIS and sooner you will be approved!! Good luck.

  13. Hello everyone I'm new to this site and this is my first post, few days ago I submit a service request to CSC regarding my case status as it already past 5 months and this is what I received -------This notice acknowledges receipt of your status inquiry concerning your pending I-129f application. We recognize your interest in a final adjudication on your pending application and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. The California Service Center is committed to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in an expeditious fashion as soon as available under our resource constraints.---- :help:

Anyone can enlighten me what is the meaning of this or someone out there who got the same reply..Your reply is highly appreciated

Thank you and Happy New Year to all

File for a service request to tier 2 and they will give a referral no. After a week or two you will receive a letter from the USCIS stating that your case is under review and you will have to wait for 60 days. But actually 60 days is just a generic answer. I had filed for a service request and after 2 weeks i got a letter from the USCIS. Then after 5 days I got approved.

  14. do i need to sign g325a, letter of intent, photos and then send over mail to fiance in usa where tey aply as package 129f or the scanned copies can also be used?

i also want to know what addresses should be mentioned on the letter of intent? if i am the oversea's fiancee is filling the form so the letter will be having whoes address and name on the top and address of filing location will be India or US?

how many times in the whole procedure we will be required to fill the letter of intent?

For the G-325A and letter of intent, You need to sign them and send them to your fiance in the US. Scanned papers are not accepted. These are important papers that need to be signed. For filing the petition in the US, both the petitioner and beneficiary have to submit letters of intents with signatures. And during the interview at the embassy, updated letters of intent from both of you are also needed. You can see a sample letter of intent here on VJ. Just search that here. :)

  15. yes sis magdilang anghel ka sana.. Im getting depressed waiting for it

Dont be depressed sis. God will never leave you. I cant even imagine that I have waited for almost 8 months. It's long but in the end the approval makes me smile. So keep the faith sis. Never give up!

thanks you too congratulations but can I ask do you have a Immigration lawyer to assist you. Me and my husband file my documents only us. We just follow the steps of Uscis packet. I also applied for I129F for spouse that one has a Oct 24 priority date and also transfered to National Benefit Center too. we are just waiting which is one to approved first thank you

NO ATTORNEY AT ALL. WE DID IT BY OUR OURSELVES THROUGH THE HELP OF VJ friends!!! and of course prayers!!!

  16. 8 months is a long wait. me too im still waiting for my Noa 2 that my husband filed for me I130 since September. just this morning I told him to call USCIS for follow up my paperworks 4 months of waiting since NOA1. I am already feel depress since this day. Of course I just want to be my husband I think the virtue will patience and prayers thank you

You are much luckier coz your petition went to CSC, not VSC. hehehe. VSC is much slower coz it takes 6-8 months while in CSC only 5 months for both I-129 and I-130. So hang in there you will be approved soon. Just keep the faith.

September 19 , 2012 is my priority date i got my Noa1 sept 24,2012. Im a September filer which I 130 was transfered to National Benefit Center

If read some posts that petitions transferred to NBC are approved faster than CSC and VSC. So you are lucky enough that your case is moved to NVC. Good luck! God bless.

8 months is really long. You have to prepare yourself for the approval. I understand how you feel. It's really hard to wait, but you will get used to it. I know it's long but in the end once you get the approved you will just smile and say it's still worth the wait. So be patient in the Lord and pray unceasingly. You will have yours too in God's perfect time. Be positive and never give up!
