  1. I sent IV Packet (Original Documents) to NVC

& NVC sent my AOS & IV Packet to the Embassy.

But on the interview letter embassy asked for IV packet. (Original)

Instantly I contact with embassy, after many emails they just reply me as following:

"Whatever was provided to the NVC should be in the file. the packet serves as a reminder if you missed any."

    How stupid. :ranting:

After that i contact with some other member who have done their interview from the same embassy,

they ensure me its just a ordinary email. Embassy people just copy and paste to everyone. I don't have to worry about it.

Just take a copy of them whatever you submit before.

  2. Is it really true? I actually thought of hiring a lawyer n contacted one. He gave me all the check list of documents that i need to submit to him, also a joint sponsor check list. He didn't say that he will find a joint sponsor for us when i told him that we don't have a joint sponsor. That's y i'm doing everything on my own.

    off-course its true.

Usually lawyer doesn't provide any joint sponsor. but if you discuss about your matter he might be found out someone who can support you.

btw: where you living in US?

  3. Hello,

I am a US Citizen. I recently married and applied for my husband to come here using the I-130 form on October 7th. I received the NOA1 on October 10th. Now we are just getting for the next step. We want to find out what the next steps are and what we need to prepare for those steps. What kind of documents do we need?

I am a student and have a part time job. I do not make enough money to file my own taxes so I am dependent on my father which means I'm under his tax file. I started to fill out the I-864 form and came across a question. In Part 4: Information on Sponsor of the form, they ask for the name of the sponsor.

My question is that do I put my name in that option or my father's name since he is the main source of income in that tax file? Also, my father's income does not meet the poverty line, so we need to file another I-864 for a joint sponsor.

Please let us know the details.

Thank you so much for your help. We really appreciate it.

  4. Hello,

I am applying for my husband who currently lives and works in Saudi Arabia but is a citizen of Bangladesh. We want to carry out the immigration process in Saudi Arabia. My question is regarding Item C number 2 in the application form. What should I put for his address, Saudi Arabia or Bangladesh? The form does not specify current address or permanent address.

    Thank you11

  5. The person that stated they do not allow co-sponsors has already gone through the same embassy you will, so perhaps they have experienced knowledge on the information they gave. You can always email the embassy and ask them yourself.

Your fiancee will provide a copy of her own tax return, not the one from her parents. She needs to earn enough for the two of you, as of now it is $18,912 for a household of 2. She will provide a letter from her employer and most recent pay stubs to prove her current income. If they allow co-sponsors, then her father would provide his own I-134 form, a copy of his most recent tax transcript(which will show she is a dependent of his), letter from his employer and most recent pay stubs. He also needs to provide proof of being a USC or LPR.

If she does not earn enough by the time the I-134 would be needed, and they do not allow co-sponsors, then you would need to withdraw the petition, get married and start over filing the CR-1 for a spousal visa instead. A joint sponsor is accepted for the I-864 used for a spousal visa.

Her father has to be the co-sponsor, or can anybody be it? Like any relatives or any family friends who has that amount of income?

  6. Let me make everything clear.

    Fiancee's age: 18

Status: US citizen ( college student)

Tax file: Filing taxes for the first time for 2012

She worked in the summer of 2012 and received a 1098 form. Before this, up to the year of 2011, she was with her father because she was not 18 years old and therefore could not file taxes on her own. Since her income is low, her parents are also claiming her. Our question is can she use this tax file that she is filing as a primary sponsor to apply for the I-129F visa for me without using her father's documentation?

Also, some people are saying that Bangladeshi Embassy doesn't accept co-sponsorship for K-1 visa. Is that true?
