My sister 33 yo never been married living in north Africa was diagnosed last week with breast cancer (stage 3 I guess) I live in California, since I have heard that my sister she may loose her breast I don't feel ok, I'm not sure how can I support her,she is the youngest sister with a very nice personality she was taking a psy medication for the last 20years she never been independent never seen the world, I was in vacation last year in my home country we had so much fun, I'm not sure how can I support/help her,  I was thinking me and my dad who is responsible of her to may be file for medical visa for her but my dad said it will takes time , they are now looking for a good doctor to takes care of her back in my home country, help me and advice me how can I help her and support her?

He went to a passport agency in Houston where we have lived for 4 years now. They made the correct size passport pics with no issues. 35mmX45mm

No he has not registered with the consulate.

He just filled out the forms, got a money order for the fee and send a Paid return express envelope for the return passport.

We only addressed it to the Kingdom of Morocco, without anyone's name on envelope

They are only there certain times of the day when calling they are open. Like 9am to 1 pm I believe...... best to call when they first open, I talked to a Mr. Ali when I first called them.

I called them in the first minutes when they just opened, no luck !, yes they just have 4h , you said you sent the docs to where? not at the Consulate general of kingdom of morocco in new York?

Your also going to have to find someone who makes passport photos , as the ones needed for Moroccan passports are different sizes then ours here it USA. USA size passport photos will not work for a Moroccan passport.

A passport agency was able to make my husbands photos , cost around $20.00

yes they need 35mm/ 45mm with blue or grey background? is the photo center in USA they know what means 35mm/45mm?

What about the consular card, did your husband registered with the consulate and paid extra fee?

My husband who is Moroccan renewed his, we sent the papers to the Moroccan Consulate in New York and had his new one in exactly 1 week

FYI: His passport was already expired, and he was out of status from a visitors visa at the time.....

Your husband is very lucky because somebody answered his call, i was trying to call Friday, and today, there is no answer , i just wanted to double check the requirements of this process if i have to renew my passport, and to make sure what exactly they need, but as long as there is no answer how can i just send my passport via mail with some documentations if i there is absolutely no contact ??

i have no idea how long it takes to get new one, and if there is no contact , how can i follow up to see whats going on, and i have to travel next month, i thought AS LONG AS I HAVE UNEXPIRED PASSPORT I'm good to travel ,

i did everything you mentioned in your reply before i posted, I'm LPR in USA, trying to go next month to my home country Morocco , i have to go next month for some emergency reasons , my passport is still valid , i dont know if i have to renew it or no because the validation of my passport is 3 months,

the number unfortunately is not working, they do not answer, i looked online and have read very bad comments , no body answer the calls , the voice mail is full, and no emails answer , in case if i need to renew my passport i just have a few questions , because i already went to their website and looked at the requirements, there is no help!!!!!!

i don't know how some I751 filers know the time when USPS picked up their green card? do they use different website to check their status?

I would call USCIS after 30 days.

In our case, USPS mail carrier "lost" our green card. We then have to wait for another 30 days to make sure that the green card was not sent back to USCIS. Once they determined it was lost, we have to pay another application fee for I-90 (replacement card) and went through the whole process of finger printing. It took about 5 months to get replacement card.

Thank you , i didn't see anybody in VJ receive the card more than 8 days or 10 ++ , that's why i got confused and have no idea what to do if i dont get it, i have no access to online status to see if they mail it

who knows! they can ask her for interview or they may not, because she is not convicted , not charged ,nothing and they can approve her petition without interview, talking and discussing more the arrest and revealing her husband arrest ! i'm not sure?? may be will help and prevent her from interview because they will have the whole information they needs or may be will complicate her case and instead of being approved with no interview they surely will invite them both for interview

No they do not check on the USC criminal records, that is not the point of the ROC. Besides, a prisoner can petition for a spouse as long as they haven't committed a crime that's within the Adam Walsh Act.

The USCIS expects people who are being abused to leave their spouses. That's why there are waivers for ROC.

The difference between a USC being arrested and a LPR is that the LPR can be deported if found guilty of a serious crime whereas a USC simply goes to jail. The US government is not going to use US taxes to incarcerate a non-citizen when they can simply deport them and not have to deal with them anymore.

Correct , i guess the spouse in this post should relax as long as she never committed crime and she just simply went to jail without charges, she will have no problem , if he cancel the joint petition she can divorce and move on, but it seems like the husband is mentally abusing her by telling her she will be deported what kind of man he is!!!! she stayed with him to help him and continue the marriage without leaving him after his arrest and now he is attacking her , waw, she should think twice about her life with him, shame for some US spouses to treat their wives like this

The poster is hesitated between making a note about her US spouse old arrest or no? she is asking this q i guess because she feels afraid to be denied although she is filling jointly with him because he caused her arrest on 2015,

like i said if am her i just write explication about his arrest , this may complicate the application because USCIS are concerned about her & not her US husband but at least she will feel better , as battered woman filling jointly and saying she was arrested is something not easy

Hi, everyone, i'm asking on behalf of my dear friend , she came to Usa with CR1, she lived ever since she came with her husband, my friend and her husband they had some problems and difficulties that lead to DV arrest for both, On 2014 when she came he got arrested and she couldn't leave him and divorce and move on, she loves him a lot , she know her right of course , but she preferred to stay and save the marriage, her husband has a very unstable behavior , she was trying her best to help him, this year: 2 months ago,something happened she told him she will call the police he called and they arrested her without charging her, she has no criminal records, when this happened nothing changed they are still living together as wife and husband although the problems.

Now she is trying to remove the condition on her green card filling jointly because she is still married and living normal life with him, she is asking this question: she asked 2 lawyers and she got different answers:

1.In the form 751 there is question asking if you have ever arrested or detained or charged ......... : she should answer yes Right ? and she should submit the paper she got saying no charges

2. she think its not fair!! for Uscis to know somebody(Husband) claimed she beat him, without reveal the whole story and disclose his arrest first , she is asking if its OK to disclose this information or this information about his arrest will makes her application more complicated?
