  1. When you move to a new address, fill out an address change form at USPS. If you move back again, fill out another address change form. Just make sure all the mail is being forwarded to where you're going to be. If your mail isn't received or received by the incorrect recipient, your mail may be returned to sender, and that may show red flags of misinformation and/or delay your visa process.

  2. Pictures are NOT primary evidence. You can write ANY dates.

    Primary evidence:

    1) Passport Stamps

    2) Hotel reservations with both of your names

    3) Airline/rail ticket stubs

If none, credit card bills may do it. Nothing else will.

    san diego: you misunderstood mattmari.

mattmari wasn't saying photos are primary evidence. mattmari only mentioned photos because mattmari was just responding to other people asking about submitting photos. Then mattmari acknowledges that mattmari needs primary evidence, not photos.

  3. Have you sent your response to RFE? what's your status at USCIS website? USCIS CIC received my response on 24th of May and still waiting for decision.

I sent my RFE response on May 22 via the fastest way possible (one day, USPS, overnight service, requiring no signature for PO Box) and USCIS sent me an email saying they received it on May 24. Then June 4, USCIS sent me an email saying they approved my RFE/I-129F.

My status on the USCIS website is Post Decision Activity, which is an approval on my case. I'm CSC. Good luck!

  4. We got a rfe online yesterday so no hard copy.I'm really thinking that our rfe is going to be the same as we sent pictures but they where just print outs from Facebook.the only evidence that I guess is

Dated officially is our flight details to Spain

No one knows what your RFE is going to ask for until the hard copy comes in.

But just for my RFE only, it seemed like they needed passport stamps because I didn't submit passport stamps with my I-129F application. Good luck!

  5. My RFE was for Circumstances of Meeting and Last Personal Meeting. Here's the exact wording:

REQUIREMENT THAT PETITIONER AND BENEFICIARY HAVE MET IN PERSON:It must be established that the petitioner, [petitioner's name] and beneficiary, [beneficiary's name] have met in person and/or have been in each other's physical presence at any time during the two years immediately preceding the filing of this petition.

    • Circumstances of Meeting - Submit information regarding the circumstances under which the petitioner and beneficiary met to establish the relationship.
    • Last Personal Meeting - The petitioner and the beneficiary must meet in person between [Date] and [Date]. Submit evidence of meeting the beneficiary in person within the two-year period preceding the filing of the petition. Primary evidence may include airline ticket stubs and receipts (that indicate month, day, and year); copies of passport pages that show the identification page and admission stamps, military order(s), letter from Commanding Officer, or any evidence that will help the USCIS to determine that the petitioner has met the beneficiary within the last two years. Secondary evidence may include film-dated photographs of the petitioner and beneficiary together. The following DOES NOT constitute evidence of meeting: disc, videos, emails, letters, phone bills, and greeting cards.

In response to the RFE, I sent:

    • a copy of my RFE
    • a cover letter describing the contents of the RFE reply (similar to the I-129F cover letter)
    • a page description on the circumstances of establishing the relationship, such as how we met, when we met, and how often we kept in contact after being apart
    • copies of all pages of my passport, highlighting the dates and locations on the passport stamps
    • copies of plane tickets, highlighting dates and locations

    NOA1: 11/5/12

    RFE: 5/13/13

    RFE review status change: 5/23/13

    RFE approval/NOA2: 6/4/13

So, it took 13 days from RFE review to get approved. California Service Center.

  6. I had the same RFE, but I was fortunate to have passport stamps, which I submitted along with plane ticket receipts. These pieces of evidence helped me gain an approval.

Here's the exact wording on my RFE that may or may not be the same with yours:

    • Last Personal Meeting - The petitioner and the beneficiary must meet in person between October 31, 2010 and November 01, 2012.

I agree with the other person saying to write a letter explaining that you drive across the border instead of flying, therefore you don't have passport stamps. When submitting evidence for your RFE, highlight all the names and dates. Focus on submitting evidence that shows you were at the beneficiary's home country, with the emphasis on dates, which credit card bank statements and receipts of your gas bills sound fine if they show that you made those transactions in the beneficiary's home country and within the 2 year period USCIS is asking for. Good luck!

  7. Post Decision Activity
