My wife, a USC, has submitted everything necessary for both of her parents to move over to the usa. We submitted a ds-260 & sent copies/translations to the NVC as requested. We received an e-mail back that the copies needed to be certified or that we'd have to send originals. We could send originals, but there are certain things we have only one original of, like their marriage certificate and ours as well. By "certified" does it request the copies to be notarized? Or would they have to request a few more originals in Mexico, mail them to us so we can send them to the NVC?

does it matter if i sent in the i-864?

My wife became a US citizen a few months back and filed a petition to bring her parents over. I was am the only sponsor, and make well over the 125% that the 864P requests. We sent in the documentation, and it sent it back stating I needed to fill out an 864A and that my wife obviously had to fill out her own i864. She doesn't work, we aren't looking for anyone else to co-sponsor, so do I have to fill out an I864? Or do I just need to fill out her I864 for each of her parents and send them back? We have also done our taxes together for the past 6 years, do I need to provide separate tax documentation for each of us? Any help would be appreciated, trying to avoid expensive lawyer fees for this process. Anything else I need to provide besides my job letter/taxes/etc?
