  1. Thanks for the advice everyone.

im only wondering about changing the interview because my fiance got offered a job in the country Bahrain he wants to take the job. He will leave to go there the end of this month... I know people wonder if going through I129f process why take a job in another country right? well the way he looks at it he has been without work for a long time and needs the money, and he is not guaranteed to be approved for the k1visa. So he says he needs to try the job and not let the opportunity pass for he may not get another job offer

  3. Hi Folks,

As I am waiting for my NOA2, I have stumbled across a few posts which have slightly alarmed me. This is about the RFE's a few posters here have got.

    1) When me and my fiancee were assembling the I-129F package, I (the beneficiary) have sent my passport pages which has the I-94 and entry stamps evidencing my visit to USA to see my fiancee. Along with that I sent copies of my biographic information on the passport and of course the copies of my airline ticket and boarding passes to the USA. Now is this enough or should I have sent all the pages of my passport? In the K1 guide here on Visa Journey--there is no specific instruction that the beneficiary should send in his/her passport pages. Please clarify.

    2) When we sent the photographs of us together, we did not write down our names on the back of the photographs--but they did contain the date when they were printed out. Is that enough or will I get an RFE for not writing down the names on the back of the photographs? :help:

Please do let me know if I have to anticipate for an RFE. they sent me a RFE because i didnt write names date and location on the back of my pics i sent in

    Thanks.

  4. Today is 4 months since recieving our NOA1 - guess I just need to vent.... somedays I get so down in the dumps..just feel so helpless and the distance is really taking its toll... I read about others who have gone thru the process and are finally together and it helps for the moment - but than im back to the wait... our typical conversation is " I miss you " - " I miss you more" - " I love you " - "I love you more"....

Just want him here..... I know I sound like a baby :( its just so hard being apart...

I should just count my blessings in having this love - this amazing man - the four times I got to travel to Jordan and be with him...

    back to work ....

been almost 8 months here and so far i have only been able to afford to visit Jordan twice I miss him so much I feel like im gonna die sometimes

  5. Hi everyone,

Its been 201 days since our NOA1 and almost everyday i check on the website for our case status. My fiance called USCIS thursday and he asked for a service request but was told that a form I-797 will be sent to him instead. He called up again and was routed to another rep who told him the same thing.Again he asked for a service request. He asked what it was but the rep wouldn't tell, just told him it could be I-797,or C or E. I'm just wondering though if that USCIS site is updated since it still shows initial review, doesn't make sense to me.

Would they tell you right away if you're approved or not or it should be the tier people who has the capacity to tell you about the status.

I hope somebody could enlighten me about this. Thanks so much and and hoping everyone the best.God bless you all.

  8. Hey!

We had our interview in Raleigh on 17th Jan. We were told that everything is fine and we will get approved as soon as they get updated vaccination card (I was surprised because before I came here I made sure that I have everything done... apparently I needed a flu shot and extra dose of varicella vaccination). Anyways, I went to the civil surgeon the same day and took care of everything. We mailed the sealed envelope of Friday, Jan-18th. Since then I haven't hared from them. I know it's been only a week but I've sterted getting worried. I didn't get any notice that they received the mail. I've been wondering if anybody has an experience with that and can let me know if there is anything to be worried about at that point.

    Thank you in advance :star:

    Nat

Did they really make you get a flu shot? I would think that would be by choice if not that scares me I dont want my fiancee to have to get one i am highly against those things

  9. So I received my NOA1 on September 5, 2012. Fed up with waiting, I contacted my Congress woman's office. Her immigration person contacted USCIS on my behalf and was told the following: " Your constituent's case is currently under review by an Officer and can expect a response within 45 days". Sooooo, if they add another 45 days to the nearly 5 months I've already waited, it should give the rest of you an idea of what can be expected of the CSC.

Sucks but what can I do but keep waiting? At least glad I contacted my representative.......

I have been waiting almost 8 months now. I received a RFE on DEC 13, 2012 i mailed it and they received it on dec.18,2012 but I have not got a reply saying they got my evidence. i have called uscis many times with no help or info from them... so my question is how do you get your congress person involved? thanks

  10. Next week it will be 7 months since we got our NOA1. I wish somehow my file would have ended up at CSC instead of VSC. I have called VSC twice and they keep telling me "it is within normal processing time" and that I have to wait. I also had my congressman contact them and they said the same thing. I used an attorney to file my case and he says he cannot do anything and we just have to wait. I am looking at all the people who filed a month after me (July '12) and got their NOA2 from VSC and cannot help but to think something is wrong with my file. I have not gotten an RFE and I don't know if there is a problem with my file, or if it got lost, or it is because my fiance (she) is from Iran. I was also born in Iran and now naturalized US citizen and perhaps that has something to do with it too... maybe the background check and everything else just takes longer time. Any suggestions or words of wisdom or any advice would be greatly appreciated... I cannot go to Iran to visit her and she cannot come to the US to visit me... so we are just waiting... we have managed to meet in another country (Turkey) twice just to make the waiting more bearable!!! It sucks and I wish I could go to Iran to vist her but I cannot legally go to Iran (even though I was born there.... long story). Thank you visajourney and all members. I wish everyone the best and hope your cases get approved. The only good thing that comes out of this long wait is that I know we will appreciate each other more once she comes here.

My fiancee and I have been waiting 7 months now also and it is driving us mad... good luck
