Hi, I have interview for my parents in January 2023 for IR5 visa and due to some circumstances we would like to check how we can reschedule and what will be the approx wait time for rescheduled interview ??

Also, we have just received email from the Consulate for the interview so I would like to check the next steps and how the documentation process works for the interview ??

I would like to know the processing time if any parents who received their LPR (Green Card) and would like to file for unmarried son age 25 years who is residing in USA on student visa.. ?

Can you provide any information on that,>? Also is there a possibility for getting him approved under Child Status Protection Act when they file for him, if he is back in his country after his studies,.?

Thank you so much everyone for kind replies. Does it make difference if he is already stayin on F1 in US when the petition is filed ? Not sure if that can expedite process.

Also will he qualify for Child Protection Act if he is unmarried and the filing is done at 25 years age by the Legal resident Parent ?

I needed some advice on the process regarding Green card parent filing of Unmarried son (25 years) who is already in US on student visa. Do you know if that will go under category F2A or F2B and how long will it take for the son to get Green card. ?

Has any Jan 2016 filers at VSC have got decision for I-751 ? I am not sure why its taking so long

Is it advisable to travel with extension letter within 1 year from the date on it, while waiting for I-751 decision ? Is there any requirement to get passport stamp from USCIS before travel ?

Thanks Sashah for the reply, I think they need recent dated intent to marry letter to be submitted at time of interview. I already have case no. on NVC letter, so do you know when I will receive packet 3,4 and how long it will take for interview..?

I am not sure if its NOA2, its letter from NVC with Case no. I got mine around month after I sent RFE back.

I have just received letter for I129F from NVC stating my file will be transferred to consulate in a week., It has the BMB Case no. from NVC, I am not sure if this is the NOA2 letter.?

Also I read on VJ for registration on ustraveldocs site for DS-160 and payment of visa fees, does anyone know when to register for this and if its better to pay online via NEFT or pay via Demand Draft at interview..?

And when beneficiary would receive packet 3 and 4..?

I got my approval letter for I-129F from USCIS stating the file has been received at NVC and will be transferred to consulate soon. Really really happy to get this, its been a great relief after long wait of 8 months. But I see the status on the uscis site has not changed yet.

I am looking for some help regarding the next steps, when do I need to sent the intent to marry letter and financial documents to her. I also heard from some VJ members that they didn't receive any packet 3,4 and directly got the interview letter.

Will greatly appreciate any views and help.

Hello guys,

I had received an RFE not answering one of the questions on I-129 and had sent the reply 2nd week of May. As per the VJ timeline, it shows the I-129 should have been adjudicated between June 1 - 7th but I haven't received any response yet and the status still shows RFE received.

Does anyone have a idea how long it takes for VSC or anything that can be done to find out.

I had got an RFE for K1 petition, as I had forgotten to check mark I-129 F Part C Q. 2 for any convictions.

I received letter (I-797) from USCIS stating the same, and wanted to know if I need to fill out the same letter ( I-797 )with the signature or

I need to fill out 3rd page of I-129F Part C again.

Also can you tell me the best way to mail the response back to USCIS.

How long before the interview can the sponsorship documents be prepared .? If the employment letter is not available, can the tax statements from last 2 years suffice the requirement.?

5. Is Cashier's check acceptable for the payment of fees for packet 1?
