  1. Congrats, Summer! What a fresh, new world with better opportunities, eh. I will always empathize with immigrants trying to get green cos we know how it feels :-D

Thank you DebLogs! I know although i don't need a GC to be able to work now, but I feel so happy to have received it. I put it on my desk, so I can look at it whenever I want to, haha! It reminds me of God's blessings! Now I can go change my DL's expiration date and remove restriction on my SS card.

Congratulations on your GC too, although it's been over a month ago.

I am glad to have found this website, it helps my AOS application a lot!

  2. Dear all,

Congratulations on Mariana D.A and other people who have received GC!

We had our interview on NOV-16-2012 and was approved on the spot, it was super easy and smooth. The officer was very nice and asked us how we met and asked me how many times I have been in and out of the USA, and commented on me having some many memberships of organizations. Then went over with yes, no questions on 485. Then remind us when to do the removal conditional GC. Said that he was intending to approve our I-130 and I-485, if we have not received GC after 30 days, call them. He thanked my husband for bringing more evidence and said we have prepared so well for the submitted application, he didn't need to review others. Starting afternoon of Nov-16, have been receiving emails, text messages about GC UPDATES. I thought my GC would be delayed due to Thanksgiving break, NOPE, no delay at all! This morning I have received my GC in the mail!! YA! Very happy and GRATEFUL for being GREEN!

    Wish everyone best of luck!!!

  3. Congratulations on people who have passed interviews and who will and have received GCs!

Thank you for all your care and suggestions. It's been awhile since my last time visited the web. I want to report my case progress.

I have called uscis and talked to higher rep. and he made a service request, that's a long time ago. Then I waited for 15 days and called again, of course each time had to wait for 45 mins to be able to talk! They suggested me to go to an infopass appointment. I did and the first person at the loca office couldn't find out my files, he said they are still at NEC, then he said oh, your filed are mailed today. and then he asked another person, she found out my information on that computer, he was shocked because he couldn't find out how to get the info from his computer before. Then she told me that I have been scheduled for an interview on Nov.16th. and printed out my interview schedule. They told me if I have not received interview letter, just bring this sheet of people to come to the interview. Anyway, after a few days later, I went to an infopass again, asking for interview notice since I don't know what to bring for the interview and whether we would be interviewed on Nov.16th. They told me that they have received my files (I felt relaxed) and my interview was on the 16th. And they printed out an interview letter and verified my address since I had not received an interview notice. She is very nice and asked if we can make it on that day, if not we can call and she can reschedule. (of course, we wouldn't want to reschedule!)Today we have received the interview letter which was mailed yesterday. We are not really worried about the interview since our marriage is real like others here. We will just bring what we have with us for the interview. IDs, photoes, original certificates, joint things, can't think of anything else at this moment.

Congrats again for people who are being GREEN! Wishing everyone the BEST OF LUCK!

  4. Oh my goodness, Summer! Did you miss your appointment...I have a few choice words for the inefficiency of USCIS, really. Sorry, but really happy for you that they put in an SR for rescheduled dates :-)

Thanks, DebLogs! I know! I still wonder what happened! Why had I not been scheduled! I called USCIS many times after my biometrics and they told me to wait 4 months! What can I do?! I told the higher rep my husband's email, so that we will be receiving the interview letter quicker than by mailing. Nothing comes yet.

  5. They cannot tell you that you can't speak to a higher rep., you have the right to do so, and they know it! Call again and tell them you need to speak to higher rep. because you've received EAD long time ago, and you're afraid you might have been scheduled and there wasn't any update on the USCIS website! If they say no, insist on it...they have to transfer the call! You have to tough on them...don't be afraid because they're just ordinary representatives..like the ones from sprint, and cable..lol..really!

Thank you Mariana D.A for your words. I called again the other day and the rep said I was demanding.... he got angry, but anyway, he transferred me to a higher rep. I told the higher rep that the previous person said I was demanding. He was laughing at the other side (although silently, but I could tell.) He asked my last name, then said I was ready to be scheduled for an interview on Aug.28th! He did a service request for me and said call USCIS if I haven't received an interview letter within 10-14 days. Then he said, Good luck, Mrs.xxxxxxx. Finger crossed!

Dewave, I am sorry to hear your news. But let's hope and pray that you will receive an interview letter ASAP! Let's affirm: I receive my interview letter within days!

Congratulations to all who have received GC and got approved on the interview!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone who is preparing the interview!

Thanks for your suppout, May God bless you all! Summer

  6. I agree with Mariana, DeWave. I've just got slightly over 2 weeks to prep for my interview...never ever received text, email or letter...had to call in to an L2 officer, that's how I learned and only because Mariana told me to. Try that. Good wishes and hoping you sort it out :-)

Welcome, Summer2012! Best of luck to you, too :-)

Thank you, DebLogs, I will call them tomorrow. I actually have never received any emails or phone calls about my EAD and AP update info,(except the NOA emails). I saw people have received many emails about " EAD card production", or "the card was picked up or mailed" emails. I got the information from checking the website. Every time I called to ask my interview, they said I have to wait 4 months, since the processing time for I-485 in St. Paul, MN is 4 months. It;s frustrating!

I'll call and let you know tomorrow. Good luck to you interview, DebLogs! Good luck to Dewave2 for your interview schedule. Wish we both have good results tomorrow by calling them!!!

  7. Go to Settings > Profile > Change signature to add your timeline.

Otherwise, go to your Profile page and click Timeline.

    Thank you! I did it!

Hey Summer2012!! Regarding your interview letter, you should do the same thing I did...You have to call USCIS, but tell the representative you wish to speak to a higher representative or tier 2 representative, you will probably wait about 20 to 30 min. to speak to one. You then ask them if they have scheduled any interview for you...they'll let you know! An ordinary representative does not have access to that kind of info, you need to speak to higher rep. Good luck! ;)

Thank you, Mariana D.A. I will try to call them again on Monday!
