  1. Hi All, I have just moved to the US on the K1 visa and would like to start the next process. I was under the impression that as my I-693 was ok and i am not missing any vaccinations that i just submit that paper with my AOS - however i have now read that i still nust see a civil surgeon? Is this correct? please could anybody point me in the right direction?

    thank you

    Lilli

  2. I am sure there is a link somewhere that can answer my question, but I am more after current experiences please.

We have just received our NOA2 today and I was wondering how long it currently takes for the beneficiary to receive the letter (go ahead for packet 3)? I am in the UK so would appreciate to hear of any current experiences. Also the embassy website states that they will assign you an interview date and inform you one month prior... is the waiting time really that long?

    Thank you

  3. Thank you all for your comments.

I don't think I am getting ahead of myself with ensuring I still have a secure income when I move, we all know this process is expenisve and knowing I have a monthly salary is calming.

My future hubby has called USCIS with this question, and we have been told that as long as we file our taxes at the end of the year, I am ok to work remotely, for a British based company.

Again, thank you all for your comments, especially those who have commented out of experience!

  4. Apologies in advance if this is not the right place to post this question.

My fiance and I are currently waiting for our NOA2. My British employer has offered me to keep my job and work from home (in the States). I have seen threads about this before and understand that as long as my employer is based outside the US and i am getting my salary in GBP into my UK bank account I am not breaking any laws, but I still havent found this info on the USCIS or embassy website. Can anybody advise where I can find this info?

Anyone on here who has done this? In particular any women who have taken on their husbands name - did you change the name on your bank account in the UK?

    Thanks

  5. Hi, my name is Stephen and I live in England. Me and my fiance sent off our I-129F petition in July and have had no answer yet. I want to travel to the USA for the new year holidays but not sure if I'm allowed to while there is a pending case. Does anyone know anything about this that could help me?

    Thanks.

Hi Stephen, i am also from London and sent the I-129F off in August. I visited my Fiance last week for Thanksgiving, I had a letter with me from my employer but didnt need it in the end. They have asked me how I have met my fiance and how long we've been together. he has also asked how far we are in the visa process and how much money i was bringing with me. I dont think you will have any issues, just be honest!
