  1. hi lizaike2012, how is your visa processing so far? i think i may be on the same boat, i was a handed a 221g white form after my interview last oct 18, 2013. i was not able to bring ny fiance's ITR and the consul asked me to drop it in 2go once i have it. after my interview, the ceac website updated to "administrative processing" until yesterday, but then today, i checked the website and it said "refused" followed by "We have notified you in writing regarding the status of your case. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV."

we're really confused because i havent even dropped the docs in 2go because im

still waiting for it via post. is this "refused" status normal for everyone who was handed a 221g?

  2. Hi I need some info on SG police clearance

My fiance and I are planning to file the K-1 visa soon and we researched on the requirements and it includes the police clearance from Singapore, where I lived for almost 9months. I was holding an employment pass called S-pass for 6mos and tourist visa for the first 2 1/2.

But my case is, in that 9months, I was in and out of the country three times every 2-3 months, normally 3-5 days each trip, therefore, I never really stayed in Singapore for 6 consecutive months because of those overseas trips.

So my question is, do I still need the police clearance? and here's my dilemma

    a) if I don't honor my 9 months in Singapore, granted that I didnt stay there for 6 consecutive months, and the US Embassy finds out and disagrees, I'm afraid that they'll think I'm hiding important information, which may cause delay

    or

    b) if I do honor it and it turns out im not qualified for the clearance because of my "staggered stay", then it will conflict the "9mos stay" that I honored on the documents, and this may also cause delay

so im really clueless on what needs to be done. will appreciate reply. thank you.

  3. Hi I need help from anyone who knows enough about this stuff.

I read a thread here where the fiance who's filing the application in US Emb in Manila was required a police clearance from Singapore as she lived there for 9months. However, when the clearance came out, it only showed 6mos (as she was in the country for 3mos, went overseas for 6 days then came back in Singapore and stayed for another 6 mos)because according to the SG policy, they can only give the clearance for the second part, or something like that.

I kinda have a similar case and I just need some advice as I'm very confused.

  4. Hi chrismanilyn, I kinda have a similar case and I just want to ask since your issue is the only one closest to mine.

My fiance and I are planning to file the K-1 visa soon and we researched on the requirements and it includes the police clearance from Singapore, where I lived for almost 9months as well.

But my case is, in that 9months, I was in and out of the country three times every 2-3 months, normally 3-5 days each trip, therefore, I never really stayed in Singapore for 6 consecutive months because of those overseas trips.

    or

    b) if I do honor it and key in 9months in Singapore in my documents, (and if it's really Singapore's policy to issue police clearance only for those who have stayed there 6 consecutive months) the Singapore police tells me i dont qualify for the police clearance because of my "staggered stay", then there will be discrepancy between what i put on the document vs singapore police, which may cause delay as well

so im really clueless and what needs to be done. will appreciate reply. thank you.
