  1. Hello! Yes, I lived with my husband the entire time. For the AOS, I used my Mom as a joint sponsor. And I proved domicile by showing my US bank statements and voter ID card :)

  2. Because I filed in July...my app went to the California Service Center. And because I was living abroad, it was approved in only 18 days. But that has changed now and they are sent to NBC. So, I'm not sure how long it's taking...maybe 2 to 3 months. Hope you get the approval soon!

  3. Hey! You could always try for the expedite, but I'm pretty sure it will be denied. They were not approving expedites while the US embassies were under attack in September. They just said if you feel unsafe, for you, the USC, to travel back to America. No expedite for the Egyptian spouse :(

  4. Visa arrived this morning...and tickets have been booked! Hubby and I are moving home on Thursday! :)

I hope your trip was comfortable :) welcome back home :)

  5. Checked DHL this morning...hubby's visa has "departed the facility" today! Yay! Visa should be here tomorrow! Visa in 1 week (not 2) = Awesome!

  6. Hubby was APPROVED with NO AP! CO said he'll get the visa within 15 days! When I get the details I'll post a review! Yahoooooooo and Merry Christmas to us! :)

I can only imagie what that Wonderful feeling feels like! I was in shock just over the NOA2! Yeah...the demonstrations...grr... Apparently the emabassy protected the ppl inside day on the 25th (I believe it was) But they closed completely today, 11/27. I have my fingers crossed that the demonstrations calm and businesses can continue & ppl can live 'normal' lives. Be safe out there!

& Thank you so much for the best wishes! :) I know that I will be able to think straight and sleep again, once we are back together. Being apart is torture! (as you must know) :)

  8. It's 1:28am here in Egypt...that means only 1 day until the interview! Yay! :)

  9. Thanks for the congrats! We are so excited...the interview will be in 4 days :) The medical exam went well...but Peter said it took a long time. I think he was there (at the Anglo-American Hospital) for around 6 hours! And they check everything...full body check, chest x-rays, eye test, shots/injections! They had the envelope ready for him to pick up 2 days later :)

  10. Thanks for posting a review! I always love to see a new one, as it helps us so much! I pray the AP goes quickly for you! Sorry you traveled all this way and didn't get to go inside...I soooo wish they would allow us to join our spouses. It's going to be very hard for me to stay at home while hubby has his interview!

  11. Just wanted to say good luck and best wishes for your interview tomorrow! So exciting! :)
