New card being produced!
-
I've been so stressed out lately due to teething not sleeping baby that I forgot about that first sentence. Thank you for restoring some of my sanity!
-
I've been reading around, and saw people mention an extension letter that is supposed to be carried with your expired green card. I tried searching further about my question but did not find anything.
We never got this extension letter. We got the NOA1, the biometrics and nothing since then (september)
When I call, they are not very helpful. Do I need to be concerned about the lack of a letter?

Why would you go to Dallas or Los Angeles???
The interview would be somewhere close to you, somewhere in New Mexico.
New Mexico is so small though, unless they'd do it at the same place we did the Biometrics (which didn't have any interview rooms)

I was able to finally connect to the USCIS - FINALLY!
But it says that my case was received but doesn't say anything about the biometrics appointment or anything. Is that normal?
It won't say anything about your Bio-metrics!
Can confirm, it says nothing about biometrics. We were getting worried we got dropped or something. Glad (well, relatively so) to read here that people are still waiting.
9/21/2015 we filed
9/25/2015 we got the NOA1, california service center
10/21/2015 for biometrics
Zip after that!
Question: We're in New Mexico. If we got called for an interview, where would we go? Dallas? LA?

You are awesome, thank you!

This should be a quick question!
For packet 3, packet3-k1-mtl.pdf (can't post the link)
Do we send just the checklist, or everything on page one and the checklist? Information on both pages is conflicting!
Page one:
If you havereceived a “Packet 3” letter from the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal, please follow the
instructions below to send to the Consulate the required forms and checklist.
Page two:
First, you have to acquire all the necessary documents and prepare for your interview. As you acquire thedocuments applicable to your case, please checkmark them on the list below. Once you have acquired all the
documents, please sign, date, and return this checklist to the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal to notify us
that you are ready for the next step.
To be safe we'll probably send the DS-230, 156, etc, but I thought I'd ask and make sure!
