Hello VJ members
My Interview is coming up and Iam wondering if my husband scans the 2011 transcript and emails it to me, can I use it for my interview. I did a DCF, so I need to show it to the consulate with my I-864 during my interview. My other question is should the I-864 be handwritten or typed and what about the DS-230, should I carry a handwritten one or typed. I have already sent a handwritten one with my packet 3. Thanks for your guidance.

Thanks for your reply. As I said earlier mine is a DCF case. My husband filed the petition in New Delhi and payed the I-130 fees. Our case does not go to the NVC, it stays in the beneficiary's country. That is why the confusion. I need to know how much do I pay for the visa. Apart from $230 do I have to pay anything else.

Thanks for your reply......I believe since my petition was filed abroad i do not have to pay the I-864 fees? Am I right? Only visa fees. My interview is on Jan 2013 so do I need to pay the $165 fee. No I guess?

Dear fellow VJ members who have done DCF
My interview is coming up shortly and I need to know how much fees do I have to pay for IR-1 visa. My husband had paid $420 dollars for the I-30 petition. My interview will be at Mumbai but I believe fees for IR-1 are same everywhere. Please help. Thanks

My husband also filed the petition for me from New Delhi(DCF) and my interview is next month. I would like to know what is the amount of fees that your husband paid during the interview, what pictures did he show and it would be nice if you could let me know some of the questions asked as my case is also DCF. Thanks a lot.

Hi everyone
I have finally received my packet 3 with case# and sent it yesterday to the Mumbai consulate. However I have certain questions regarding preparation for the next step which Iam sure experienced VJ members can help me with.
A little background.....My husband is a US citizen and we have been living in India for the last 10 years. Now we have decided to move to the US and he has already moved to the US and started his new Job. I have two US citizen children and we did a DCF from New Delhi since my husband was living here all this time.
I have made a list of things which I need him to send me. Please add in case anything is needed for my interview.
1. His Employment letter(which I already have)
2. Copy of his Driver's license
3. Copy of his Voter's Id.
4. Copy of our medical insurance in US(company provided)
5. Car insurance and registration copy
6. Credit card bills
7. Last six months statements of our US bank accounts(showing our funds)
8. I-864 form (which he has signed and kept with me)
In his employment letter the company says that he can stay in the company provided condo till he finds a permanent place to live and he is actually living there now. We will rent our own apt. once Im there with the kids. Is that okay or do we need to lease our apt. before my Appt. I mean since the company is providing accomodation now I don't think it is feasible to waste money and rent out an apartment before I go there.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

My I-130 was approved and send from New Delhi consulate to Mumbai Embassy on 14th Sept. How ever I still did not receive any packet 3 or case number from Mumbai consulate. Reading the other DCF timelines I feel mine is taking too long. Am I right? How long does the consulate take to send packet 3 after I-130 is approved and sent to them.

Thanks for your reply.
Well my husband has left for the US to establish domicile. We did write a email to mumbai consulate but no reply yet. I knew that DCF cases stay in that country iteself where you file the I-130 petition but I was wondering after the new system was introduced does it go to the NVC.
I would really appreciate some inputs from VJ members who have done DCF from India.

Looking for advice and answers from VJ members.
A little background
My US citizen husband and I (former green card holder) were residing in India all this time. My husband got a job offer in the US and we decided to move back to the US. As we are going back after 10 years SB-1 visa was not an option for me so he filed a I-130 for me from New Delhi on 16th August. Our I-130 was approved and we got a mail saying that it was approved and send to Mumbai American Consulate on the 14th of Sept and for any further queries we are supposed to write to support travels.gov(the new system). Now my question is
1. Will our petition go to US(NVC) or is Mumbai going to give me a case number.
2. If it was sent on 14th Sept when do i expect a case number of packet 3 and is it going to come by email or physical mail.
Would really appreciate some answers from experienced VJ members.
