My fianceé actually found out that she was in the final stages of winning the visa lottery in Romania right before I was going to send the I-129F in...

We talked about it for about 5 or 10 minutes. We decided to go with the K1 Visa because we knew that we would have a 90-some% chance of getting it. Her notice for the Visa lottery wasn't a sure thing, and besides, it would've probably taken longer.

I would research more into which type of sponsorship-visa it is, and whether or not she would actually be able to stay permanantly.

K1 is better. I was in the same situation.

Hi, i would like to announce that i already received my Permanent Resident Card (greencard)!!! I had my interview last March 8 and the card arrived after 2 weeks, that was fast! It's only valid for two years, coz I'm a K-1 visa... My status has been lifted as CF1... just an info for everyone!!! Good luck to everyone waiting for their Permanent Resident Card...
