  1. Hi guys,

I received my visa and sealed envelope from Loomis on Monday. They did require more evidence after my interview on Nov 29th and after couring via loomis never knew how long until I hear from them. The CO told me 15 days, so I was glad to receive my passport in 10 days....guess a one week delay if I got it the 1st time. I fly to Texas on Monday to rejoin my wife and 2 children (all US/Canadian citizens). Its been just under a month when I returned to TO. Hopefully POE is smooth.

Good luck to everyone. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  2. So I picked up my passport with the visa yesterday at Loomis Brampton...after opening it, felt like you've won the lottery. It took 10 business days after I resubmitted a joint sponsor as my wife has not worked in the US (we both in Canada). The CO after my interview (Nov 29th) mentioned 15 days so am glad she was being conservative.

One note of advice, they care diddly squat about Canadian income (even if it way high or whatever). If only NVC mentioned to us, we would have sent joint sponsor I-864 along with other documents back then.

Anyway Good Luck to all....Happy Holidays

  3. Hi guys,

I had my interview last Thursday but was not approved. They required a joint sponsor since my wife (US citizen) has been living in Toronto the last four years raising our 2 children and has not worked the last three years. So I submitted a joint sponsor (her brother), new I-864 and his US tax returns. I found it very strange that they totally ignored our Canadian tax returns which was over sufficient capital wise. Anyways I submitted all the documents at Loomis in Brampton last Friday (30 June 2012) along with my passport as per the letter I received after the interview.

According to the waybill tracking number, the package reached the consulate in Montreal today successfully. My question, would anyone know how long it would take them to process and return my passport to the Loomis location in Brampton which I registered at.

    Greatly appreciate any feedback.

    Thanks,

    sunder

  4. Hi all,

I got my case closed from NVC on Sep 26th. I received my interview date in Montreal for Nov 19th last Friday...problem is I can't make since wife's brother getting married in US on Nov 24th and that would be cutting it close. Is there a tel number I can call to reschedule? When logging into change of date on this link

    https://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/login

next available interview is Feb 13th. Also wondering if since I'm in US, can I have my interview there? I am unemployed so can definitely make another date. Can Montreal forward my file to US location?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

  5. Hi,

I also got my interview date just this morning for Nov 19th...I need to reschedule since we going to be in US for wife's brothers wedding on the 24th...am afraid I am cutting i t to close. Firstly how long does it take to get passport back after interview and second I don't see a Montreal number to call in the appointment email I received today. Please give to me.

    Would appreciate help.

    Thanks

  6. Hi there,

I have an interview with Montreal on November 5th for a CR1 visa.

I am thinking about requesting a later date. I'm currently at my wife's place in the US, since we just had a newborn baby. It is hard for me to schedule two trips back to Montreal in the next month, one for the medical and one for the interview, given that i don't want to leave my wife alone with the baby for too long. So I am thinking of contacting the Montreal consulate to see if they will give me a later date(ideally a month later).

Is this a good idea? Any idea if they would be receptive to this request? Has anyone here done this? My biggest concern is that requesting a later interview may delay it much more than 1 month.
