My wife just received her green card but they did not send her SSN. So we reapplied today and they say 10-14 days till she receive the SSN card. Is it possible that maybe I can just get the number before the card?

I paid the immigration fee of 165 through USCIS/ELIS but few weeks later I wanted to check on the status but I forgot my password and I am required to call them to reinstate it but with the bad experience I had with them in the past for as long waits, is it really necessary to check on it, if its paid then they will send the green card to the address correct? There isn't anything for me to do from that point right?

Good news is I received my appointment letter and the date is Aug 25 Tokyo embassy. My question is after the interview and hopefully it will be approved, does the embassy recommends POE to the States to get the visa stamp by Custom or it doesn't matter where is POE to the States as loans the Visa is stamp by Custom. I.E. say if we wanted to go to Hawaii for Vacation and get the stamp there.

Quick question,

I have all my certified copies and forms that I sent to NVC and once NVC approves my packages and send me a date of interview, will NVC send all my documents to that consulate? And of course I will bring my copies as well just in case but I just want to know. And what should I expect at the interview?

Good Morning from Japan,

I paid my AOS online with NVC, and it says the next stop is to submit I-864 but the instruction is somewhat bland to me. Do I wait till NVC mail me an I864 package to complete and return or download the form online and submit it with supporting documents?

I hope so, I been battling with USCIS for a while. They denied my first I130 because I did not respond to RFE that they sent out to home address, when few months before that I changed the address to where I am currently at now, but they still manage to send it anyway without my knowledge and did not they wanted more evidence.

I do not receive NOA2 yet. The USCIS is working on all cases from February 2013 and I submitted my package in September 2013. I'm in the military and be set to go for deployment in a few months so I had the USCIS director for South Korea to request my expedite and was approved. Now its a waiting game, again!

I been approved for my case to be expedited! Hopefully I get some good news in a few weeks

Has anyone ever had their I130 expedited and adjudicated, if so how long did that process take.

Off the wall question.....

If USCIS withdrawn the processing fee from my account, should they be sending out my first e notification and then the NOA1? Or the processing fee is different from them actually accepting my I130 petition meaning regardless if they accept it or not its still 420 out of my pocket.

USCIS withdrawn 420 from account on 20 September

e notification not yet received nor NOA1

I station in Japan with my wife on military orders. On the I130 package can I use my physical address from the stateside and have my family scan and mail all documents sent by USCIS or just use military FPO AP address. I want to say that it might easier to have all documents sent to my parents than FPO AP. What u guys think

@ edarwish we do have passport stamps that we travel together and we been living together for over 5 years since been station here in Japan.

called USCIS about my I 130 package and the Tier 1 op told that they ( Immigration officer) denied my package and the letter was sent out to me on Jun 4th. Never received it so I called again on July 12 and the best thing they can is to resend the letter. I ask numerous time can it be electronically sent to me so I can see why it was denied. They asked for my email address even though I sent a form stating that I want every notification through email, but to no avail I still didn’t receive any notification through email or the resent denial letter. SOOOOO I called again just 12 day ago and the same process! Keep in mind that i'm in the millitary and using a FPO AP address for all incoming mail. Not sure if this plays in a big part of why i'm not receiving my letters. I truly believe that they wanted more evidence of my marriage but since the letter never reached to me they denied my package since i did not respond. and now i can't get the denial mailed to me.

I received this information through my Email address and it didnt have any reason. They mailed the letter explaining why but did not received it yet. letter mail out June 4th.

So i sent out my I130 back in november and just found out that they denied my Pertition.....What now!

I received my NOA1 like back in November! And waiting on my NOA2. I do check my status and its telling that my petition is in review. WHen i call USCIS they tellling me things i already know. They telling me information that i already read on their website. Is there anyone else i can get information about my I130

I filled out my I 130 form for my spouse and wondering what else do i need to send with my form? On the form itself does not describe what additional documents needed with this form?

If I do need additional documents and the form has been sent out to USCIS, what should I do?
