Hey,
No update as of now. One of Newark filer with the same NOA date as yours got approved few days back.

Well the rep we talk to at Local offices do have lots of power so they can influence officer handing the case. Last time when I went there, had really nice guy who went in to the department and looked inside, took about 20 mins, came back and told me everything is ok, asked few question regarding marriage date and cleared the doubts he had. so by going to local office does help alot.

Ok cool. When you go there, make sure you ask them if any one is assigned on your case or not. and if they need any additional information. Try to push them to open your file and see if everything is ok. That is what I did and avoided getting and RFE on marriage certificate.

Nope, but I did visited Newark and avoided getting an RFE for my marriage date. In india, they write date/month/Year, so the officer was confused. He said my case has been assigned to an officer and he will soon get to it. It was helpful.

Not a problem.. There are others here who are transferred to Jacksonville.. Please remove your vote when you get chance so that way we can track and make sense out of the timeline for field offices. Appreciate

So do not trust what ISO tell you. Always talk to T2 officer who carry more detail information and do call again to confirm because in my case they lied first time. No harm in going to Local office to find out. I know 2 people who got transfer to New York City field office and got approvals.

After 1 week I called again and talked with T2 officer who said my case was transferred to Local office on JAN9. Same day I took infopass appointment and went to Local office where I was told that they have my case and they will be working on it. Local office said they are currently processing Nov/Dec cases and will get o Jan soon.

Well I called in early march, I had a talk with ISO and then I specifically asked for Tier2 Officer. ISO transferred me to T2 officer, wait was about 15 to 20 mins. Finally I got hold of T2 and specifically asked if my case was transfer to Local office, but T2 said the case is at NBC.

I know that my file was transferred to Local office on Jan 9 but online status did not change nor I receive any status update since Nov 30. Did you check with USCIS? because it is very likely that your file may have been transfer to local field office. You fall under which field office?
