  1. Thanks everybody for responding!

I saw INS website that it's not necessary to file I-751 with the proof of tax return.

Here is what the instruction said.

    >>>>

-USCIS Form I-751 (Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence) signed by both you and your spouse

-Copy of USCIS Form I-551 (Permanent Resident Card)

-Evidence that you did not get married to evade the immigration laws of the United States. Examples of such evidence includes, but is not limited to:

---Leases showing that you and your spouse live in the same place

---Documents that prove that you and your spouse own property together

    ---Birth certificates of your children

Anyway we decide we will file tax with married jointly, because we don't want to make any trouble. ;P

    Thanks again!

  2. Hi everybody.

I'd like to ask if someone know about the documentation we need show to INS when we renew conditional GreenCard to permanent?

Is it possible to do so without joint tax return?

His dad is an accountant and always doing my husband tax return. Since he doesn't like Asian(me), we still haven't told him we are married. We are planning to tell him after I get a degree and job etc. So probably it will take few years...

But I am worried if we do tax return separately, can I still get permanent GreenCard?

What should I show them as a proof?

    Please somebody give mw advice!!

I realize still my pofile shows I am pending but I got my conditional GreenCard last December. I tried to edit my profile but I couldn't. Sorry for confusion...
