Still waiting in AP, less than a month left for my wife to visit, what a waste of time, all for what, to keep us apart?

Interview went fine, lady put my wife in AP, 3-6 months according to her, but gave her all of our original documents back, except kept her passport. What a horrible night, feel so helpless.

@ess: iA, I understand the need for security and preventing dangerous people from entering the country, but if we're approved, and all our documents are in order, it shouldn't take more than a month to double-check at most, and that's if you have some doubt. 3-6 months is crazy, considering it takes avg of 5 months @ the USCIS stage, and that's the real investigation stage.

I just got case complete at NVC! They received the package last Monday, and reviewed today.

Hello LunarStar, no, waiting for my IV checklist documents to be reviewed, any day now, I should get case complete this week... I hope.

Yep, will do, called tonight before they closed, and still nothing, i'm expecting early next week, I saw 2 people from Feb 6 NOA2 get cases early this week, so logically we should be early next week!

Faith26, NVC has received the physical package from the NYC Field Office, but they still haven't input it and generated an NVC Case# and IIN.

You have to call USCIS, ask to speak to an ISO, and ask SPECIFIC questions, where is the case currently, what's the last status, if it was moved to an office, what date, etc.

Yeah, it's totally not fair... I see nearly 50% of all october filers on visajourney.com have been approved. ugh.

Could be either, I just posted something, NYC Field Office is SWAMPED with cases, i'm considering cancelling my infopass appointment, I'll be upset if I have to go through hell to just hear someone say "we're swamped, you have to wait"...

I know, it's frustrating. I've noticed that they are so overwhelmed with calls, they just want to get you off the phone and on to the next person. If they would fix the online case status, they would get less calls. Also, get the first tier people thrown into tier 2 so the first person to answer your call can just look at your case without having to wait would improve the system.
