      No, the status changed to visa Issued today, most people are being put into AP now for security purposes.

      Congrats, cherish every moment you have, you learn to appreciate every little moment when you have had so few.

  3. Interview went fine, lady put my wife in AP, 3-6 months according to her, but gave her all of our original documents back, except kept her passport. What a horrible night, feel so helpless. :(

      @ess: iA, I understand the need for security and preventing dangerous people from entering the country, but if we're approved, and all our documents are in order, it shouldn't take more than a month to double-check at most, and that's if you have some doubt. 3-6 months is crazy, considering it takes avg of 5 months @ the USCIS stage, and that's the real investigation stage.

      @Stevian, FPU?

      @ess: iA I hope soon! We have a 2.5 month window for her to visit, and it starts in July, otherwise we have to wait until February. :(

      @lubnajavid: Yes, my wife is a lot more calm and was able to give me details, she was given the American Express paper, and was told we were approved with AP, no more documents needed, just need to wait, after she told me that I was able to assure her we're in decent shape, just waiting on visa issuance, hoping it's a few weeks, not months. :(

      Yeah, it hurts because we had a summer window for when my wife could visit for 2.5 months. Now we have to wait until the next 2 week semester break, which if we get the visa after Sept is going to end up being Jan/Feb. :(

      I assumed it's Santo Domingo right? If not, find your embassy on this page from the list to get the right PDF.
