CEAC Status changed to Visa Issued today! So happy! Still waiting to hear from the embassy but at least the AP is over! Praying everyone else gets out of AP soon inshAllah!

Sigh, my wife had her interview in June and it's been over a month, no case update. We were told nothing is wrong with our case, we're approved but in AP. They kept her passport and gave back all the original documents. This is extremely difficult, it's been 9 months and more endless waiting. Now our anniversary is coming in a month and based upon everyone in AP, we're going to be apart.

its doesn't make a diff if you are there with your wife or hubby . if they fell like you gonna be in AP you are gonna be there . which is pain in the axxxxx but there is nothing you can do about it . beside waiting .. and hope that there is nothing wrong in the papers . so ur AP vont take to much time ..
coltoasty .. SOrry bro for what bhabi ji went thru but that's how it is now a days in islamabad . i m going thru the same thing my wife she went thru her interview on june 4 and is on AP the ap date has been updating but that's about it . wait is the only thing we can do .

pak143, yeah our case updated today. After my wife was a little less distraught, she did say the CO said we were approved, but in AP. She also showed me the Authorized courier services paper for the American Express service, and she was told all of our paperwork is in order. She also began to remember all of the details, I think we're fine, just an unknown length of time to wait for the visa/passport now.

Hello everyone,

My wife had her interview today,

My wife visited, got on shuttle, went through security, was fingerprinted, got a number, sat in a waiting area, was called, gave her medical, passport, original nikah nama, and fingerprints, and was given a number. She was called to a window, spoke to a lady (CO) and was asked the following:

1) Where does your husband live?

2) When did you first meet your husband?

3) Have you ever been out of the country?

4) Have you ever been arrested or involved in a crime?

5) How did this relationship start? Was it an arranged marriage?

6) How can you tell the marriage will last?

She told my wife that your case is fine, we have everything we need, but we need to go through administrative processing. My wife asked how long, CO said 3-6 months . She gave my wife back all of the original documents but kept the passport (the CO didn't mention they were keeping the passport). She didn't give her any 221g paper of any sort, i'm confused as to what's going on.

My wife left crying, and still is. It's really upsetting, if everything is in order, and you gave an interview date, why are we going through administrative processing!??! Why not just have delayed the interview date originally? Why put people through such torture?

I already called my congressman's office and left a message for the person who handles visa issues. Any other suggestions? Has anyone else been in a similar/same situation?

This thread isn't really for getting that kind of advice, you'd be better off posting in the NVC thread.

However, the message isn't cryptic at all.

They're not going to look at your stuff until interview date and they'll tell you during the interview if you need new stuff.

Is your PC less than 6 months old on interview date?

Then you're fine.

More than 6 months, then get a new one if it isn't a hassle.

Oh okay, I thought since we were done with NVC this was a better place.

I'm glad you answered, makes me feel better, I thought it was a generic message at first but then both my wife and I read too much into it and thought there was a decision and we needed to get a document.

The PC is well less than 6 months old on the interview date, in one section it says the PC is listed as original and submitted. Another section says specifically to bring a current PC with you.

Thanks for the help, crossing fingers, legs, arms, praying the interview goes well and my wife gets the visa!

Ugh, I had emailed the Embassy to ask if we needed a new police certificate for my wife's interview, and instead I get a cryptic reply that is making me more nervous now! Does that mean we will go into AP, or am I reading too much into the text and it's a generic message?!?!

Dear Sir/Madam,

We will look forward to seeing <wife's name> on June 17, 2013. On this date, before the interview we will have her case file reviewed and then suggest what documents are required in addition to what has already been submitted to the NVC.

1. Go to LAST PAGE or before and click "Quote/Reply" on the MOST RECENT LIST.
2. Ask for help only if you will mess up the list

For Canada: 3 for the medical, 2 for the interview.

Seems like they need a letter for 2012. What exactly did you write in the letter you sent them? You may need to call NVC on Monday and request to speak with a supervisor. Explain your situation, what you sent, and see if they can re-review it.

They definitely bundle cases, otherwise you'd see dozens upon dozens of cases being sent to each country.

Yep, I assumed, but wasn't sure... Also, knowing how inefficient the government can be, I was thinking maybe they send the cases out individually in packages!

You need to shift over to the DoS Hotline (# in my profile, click the photo and study at the bottom)

Basic Timeticks with DoS Hotline:

1. casefile opened date

2. interview results (approved, AP, etc)

3. Visa Packet Sent date.

and that's it. stop it with the DHL thingie - it serves no purpose.

I hope so they might be in the same bundle. I never called NVC again after I got the case complete email But today there was a this change in the online status.

Yup I called today, and then I double-checked the CEAC website, and mine is in transit too. I setup notifications so I get emailed when it's delivered or if there are any problems.

Do they send individual cases separately, or bundle all the recently interview assigned cases in one shipment?

Hey Darnell, I got Packet 4 for my interview date, but not sure if I ever got a packet 3, what is packet 3? I searched around, it seems to be something old that is skipped by us, or was replaced by the AoS and IV packets?

I received my packet 4 finally so now just waiting for end of may to get my hubby police certificate re done and legalized marrige license AGAIN .

Am so happy though now am just getting ready for my interview !!

Congrats to you two! Including the 2 in the May thread, that's 4 assigned today!

Yay, grats!

1. As long as you gave over both email addresses, then yes, the interview letter is emailed. But you'll find out sooner if you call daily as the email can take a day or longer to receive. Example: I found out my interview early Friday afternoon, yet only got the email around 4am on Saturday.

2. Once the package has been sent (after an interview date is assigned), yes you can still track packages. There's two links in the first post about how to track. Remember, there's no guarantee that YOUR case is in that package, but it's fun to track nonetheless (IMO).

hey is it true that if you can't login anymore to the payment portal it means your case is either getting completed or it has been completed?

Not true, I am able to login to the CEAC website and view my invoices for both the AOS and IV fee, and i've had case complete for practically a week now.

I called yesterday to know when was my case completed, they told me it was on 19th and I haven't been assigned any interview date yet. So technically you'll get an email in a week and if we get lucky we might get scheduled for an interview soon too. But I'm glad at least we are near to end

OK, I talked to the USCIS and they had no idea why I got the letter. If I was assigned a case number at the NVC, they have the file. WEIRD.

I think that letter is delayed by quite a while.

Oh Ma sha Allah! Congratulations! That was fast.

I got an email of the case complete as well, Alhamdullilah Last time I called was a week back, was so disheartened that did not call after that. But now I'll call to know when did it happen and I hope too that I did not miss the interview batch as well. *fingers cross*

I didn't get an email about case complete yet, it's been two days now. Not sure if you get case complete email once an interview date is assigned or a few days after case complete.

iA we'll be assigned interview dates soon, but so much uncertainty, it's driving me crazy.

Anyone here that has recently received an interview date (this year) from the Islamabad embassy? If so, what date of the month did you receive the interview date? I still can't find what day they release interview dates.
