Last night I read a post on visajourney that a January flier called USCIS and spoke to a tier 2 rep to follow up her case. She find out that she had infact, been approved 10 days prior (but online system was not updated). I decided to call this morning and spoke to a tier 2 rep who put in a service request on my case. 8 hours later, I am approved! If you don't have your NOA2 and its past the 'normal' processing time,I strongly suggest following up on your case by speaking to a tier 2 customer service representative and putting in a service request. All the best to everyone! God is good all the time!

Hi All
I'm in need for advice yet again! I met my fiance earlier this year in February in Trinidad. We have been inseparable since then and I went to visit him in September and he proposed. At the time I met him, he had been seperated from his now ex-wife, for about a year. Now that I am putting things in place to file for the K-1 visa, I discovered that my fiance's divorce was only finalized Oct 11 . Not only did I meet him when he was still legally married, we got engaged a month and half before divorce was final. I am though, visiting him again for christmas and new years (for about 3 weeks). I am wondering if:
1) I should go ahead and file right now- after all ts not illegal to get engaged while one of the spouses is separated but still legally married (gosh it just sounds and looks bad doesn't it: )
2) Adjust engagement date to Dec (when I visit him) -but this will result in a delay in filing the paperwork (January when i get back)
Help!!!
thanks is advance!

Greetings all!!
I am about to embark on the K1 visa journey for my fiancé based in Trinidad. We are so desperate to be together as soon as possible. From what it looks like, the whole process could take up to 9 months. I have been to trinidad twice to see him (we met in February), but he would also like to come and visit me in the US. The question is whether he could apply for a tourist visa while I start the K1 visa process-or should i wait to start the process until he receives his tourist visa (which will delay the whole process). Perhaps exercising some patience and focusing on K1 visa :/ Help!
