I recent got engaged to my fiance that lives in Ukraine. I just sent out the i129f petition last week. Our concern here is that in 2007, she came to the US on a K2 visa at age 18, completely dependent on her mother and step-father for financial support. She was promised her status was going to be changed at the time to go to the local university. Well, that never happened. No status change. So after 2 years and about 4 months of total stay, she left and returned home to Ukraine right before her 21st birthday where she was happily living, that is until she met me!! When it comes time for the interview, I know it will be obvious to them that she had a previous stay here in the US on a K2, but since she is applying for a k1 now, do you think she will have any issues during the interview? There is more than enough proof of our genuine relationship and proof/testimonies from her previous stay in the states. I am just checking for any personal experiences or advice as to approach the situation. I think it would be quite unfair if they didn't ask her questions. Thanks!
