Hi all;

We have filed my case on Jun/04, and my interview is now scheduled for Jan/10 in the San Antonio office. The problem is that we have booked a travel to Florida for Jan/07 to Jan/11, and we've already paid for the flight, hotel, and rental car, all of which are non-refundable!

What do you suggest? Should we reschedule the interview? or is it too risky to do so?

calling the embassy will not help! so is calling NVC or DOS!

you just have to wait! you can only call NVC or DOS to find out if the embassy has scheduled your appointment! and that's all they do!

like pick ur post office something

there is no need to send anything to the embassy before your interview! you just have to appoint your pick-up post office, via website, or by calling the embassy, before the interview, and show them you pick-up location on interview date! that's it...

we got the e-mail about the interview date from the embassy on Jan/15!

the interview was on Feb/07! and then it was done! she got her visa on Feb/11!

my wife's case got completed on Nov/19/2012; and her interview was on Feb/07/2013! which was just a week after the attack! as you can see, it took them a long time to schedule her appointment! but in the end, her interview went very well, and she got her visa right after the interview! seems that the attack has not affected the embassy's work!

you just have to wait for about 3 months to get your interview! and that's it... wish you good luck, and hope you get your interview way sooner than us!

does anyone have any idea where should I appoint the post office to pick up my wife's passport+visa afterwards?!

I tried usvisa-info.com but there still is not anything about my wife's interview appointment (although it's scheduled for Feb/07/2013)!

also I have tried to call the immigrant visa section of the Ankara Embassy, and I couldn't get to talk to an officer! (no one answered my calls at immigrant visa section.)

so if anyone has any idea about appointing the post office in Ankara, and which one of those is closest to the embassy, that would be great.

our case has got completed on 11/14/2012; and we're still waiting for an interview appointment from Ankara!

does anyone here still waiting for an appointment?! it's been exactly 2 months since our case got completed; and yet nothing!

I have called the NVC like 20 times during these frustrating 2 months, and all they have to say, is it depends on the capacity of the embassy! so we can't give you any estimation on how much you have to wait to get an interview!

if any of you is still waiting for an interview, or knows anything about Ankara embassy, please help me out here...

I have asked the NVC lots of questions!

1. do you have any estimation ...

2. how much more do you think I have to wait ...

3. is it possible for us to get an appointment on January ...

and ...

and all they say, is that "it depends on the capacity of the embassy!" "as soon as they release their calendar, we will do the scheduling!" "you have to wait until we send you an e-mail"

and that's all! I think this taking so long, is somehow related to the changes that they are making to their system! which has started from just today!

and all I can do, is to keep my hope!!!

now it's a whole month since our CR1 case is complete in NVC! and yet we're waiting for an interview appointment from Ankara/Turkey!

does anyone have any idea why is it taking so long?!

each time I call the NVC, they just say that you should wait until we inform you about your interview appointment by e-mail! and that's all!

I'm getting really frustrated here! can anyone help me out here?...[/size][/size]

I have a simple question!

I have paid the AOS fee, and it is showing PAID as the status of payment! now I want to mail my documents to NVC! there is this problem, that I have came to the USA just 6 months ago; therefore, I don't have any TAX return forms or Pay Stubs! what should I do?! should I just attach a note that I don't have them, or there is some documentation that I need to provide?!

also my joint sponsor, has forgotten to send me his Pay Stubs! and he is not available for a while! do I really need to have his Pay Stubs?! or his W-2, TAX returns, and employment letter will do the work?!
