San Antonio Field Office :
I would say arrive early as there was some construction at the exit to office. Parking can be little tricky out there! You can take cell phone at this Field Office. They are fast ! I arrived early and was called within 10 minutes ( 15 minutes before my appointment time). My IO was fabulous ! He made me relaxed while sitting in his cabbin. He was very friendly and was hillarius!
Reviewed the N-400 With me. Confirmed everything filled in the forms.
Asked 6 Questions : Passsed
Reading & Writting : Passed
gave me congratulation letter. All set and done within 15 minutes.He told me about the oath in Jan.

My Interview was on 10th Decemer 2012. MY IO told me that I will be scheduled for oath with about 900 people in Jan 2013.He did not tell me the date.
Great info. Is there somewhere you can look to see what the oath dates are? Or did you just ask an interviewer or somebody on the info line?
Well I have posted the dates for San Antonio but don't know about the other locations. Try finding out using District Court website for your state.

Below are the dates for Oath (San Antonio )in 2013.
Jan 31st : 2.PM - Trinity University
Feb 28th : 2 PM - INSTITUTE OF TEXAN CULTURES
March 28th : 10.AM -INSTITUTE OF TEXAN CULTURES
March 28th : 2.PM -INSTITUTE OF TEXAN CULTURES
Came to know that Ceremonies are held on Thursdays !!

When a US citizen petitions for a parent, it is an Immediate Relative case. You start by filing Form I-130. The case will take about 6-12 months for an immigration visa.

To answer your earlier question that I didn't see til now... after 30 days in line I called and got the script, and a reference number. Was told that the DO would respond within 15 days. During that 15 days, the blurb on the website changed to read, to call if nothing is received after 90 days.
Nobody ever called back. The 90 days will be up around Oct. 29th, so if I have nothing by then, I'll call again, and give my reference number. Not much point in trying before that.I got a YL on Oct. 2 asking me to bring my state-issued driver's license (that's a waste of postage and paper, IMO LOL!) So I'm hoping that I'm moving up the queue, however slowly. No online updates, no texts, emails or calls as of yet. Checking my mailbox daily.
First : No emails or text. I went online to check the status yesterday. Waiting now to receive the IL in mail.
Second: In my opinion you should call again and talk to a 2 level rep.Ask them that you should be scheduled by now.Level 2 rep did confirm and advised that they are having some issues with online update. USCIS will neve call you back to update you about your case. I think you need to call them back and talk to level 2 rep only. It won't hurt your case but atleast will get some push.
I will update once I get the IL date.

Update.....
My case has moved to In Line for Interview !!!!!
I had called USCIS last week and talk to a level-2 rep. Explained him the situation and asked her to open a service ticket. I would advise all who are stuck on initial review to talk to USCIS and ask them to open a service ticket.
Will keep you guys informed.

Are you also stuck at intial review ? The thing I don't understand is that my wife got the interview letter but I have no updates at all..no even soft update. Last time update was done on 08/27/2012 (before fingerprint).
I guess have to wait and find out.....
