Hello,
My fiance's case has been pending AP for 7 months now. Just recently I was curious if they do decide to issue a Visa, how does it work with DHL and mailing it back to a location? Will the embassy automatically send it out or should a obtain a prepaid envelope? And the timeframe for that?

I call each week. All they can tell me is that his case is in AP
Any Update? My fiance was placed in AP in May 2013. And he is from the middle East living in Italy

Hello,
I have been in AP since May 17, 2013. There was no reason as to why we were placed but they deemed it necessary and I'm going along with it. Any advice? Any tips? Anything besides waiting? It is definitely putting a strain our relationship and I'm all out of vacation time to utilize visiting him. Any help would be appreciated.....

Thanks for posting the website. I didn't know about it and I have the same NOA2 date as you. I received a letter dated March 28th saying NVC received an approved I-129F petition and it would be forwarded to Embassy/Cosulate wthin a week.
When I put in my case # that was on the NVC letter I get this
No problem! Good luck and I'm very happy for you

I am guessing your case left NVC to the consulate, the same thing happened to me.
Call and find out tmoro from NVC...goodluck
It is exactly what you said! Case was sent to Italy. Good luck on your interview! Thanks for the reassurance

Do you mind posting the website you are referring to?
This is the website I used: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

So...I received my NOA2 on March 18, 2013. I hadn't heard anything so I decided to call a visa specialist on april1, who told me the NVC received the case on March 28 and there were no further notes and she gave the number for NVC and my new visa case number. I called the NVC who told me that I was "processing" and there was no timeframe. I checked the forums and found the department of state NVC website where you can check the status of your visa and when I entered the case number it said "processing at the NVC" and to follow any instructions sent to me. I remember asking the rep at NVC if there was anything I needed to do more and she said no, so I emailed the NVC and asked them if there were any instructions I were to additionally follow. I haven't received a reply back and tonight I checked the site and this time my case file " didn't return any data". It went from processing status to not returning any search results at all. Any explanation or reassurance would be awesome!

Hello,
After receiving my acceptance of I-129f on March 19, I received the hard copy in the mail 3 days letter. On my notification it says it will be sent to the consulate listed. There was no consulate listed, so I'm assuming it is the one I listed on my petition? Also isn't is supposed to be sent to the NVC first and the consulate? Thanks and good luck to all!

Was there an update?
Finally!
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

After a long hard 7 months of AP post interview, I finally received an email that my fiance's visa is ready to be printed. He mailed his passport via DHL and less than a week later he had it in his hand. We arrived at the POE at JFK who were very nice about the questioning process and now he is home with me! I want to thank God and also everyone from the bottom of my heart with your advice, tips, answers and every word that helped me to see this day. I would have been so lost without VJ. And the embassy of Naples in Italy was amazing as well and told me the AP was mandatory and was very kind with the process. I won't be gone forever, ill need to return to learn the next set of steps for him to be with me here forever!!!! Xoxoxoxoxoxo
