  1. No notarization needed on any of the US forms but of course the Peruvian documents do need "legalizados". Careful you need form 156 also and that is not on their list!. Our interview was 2 January and she picked up the visas at DHL on Thur, 10 Jan. Not sure why they use DHL as they don't deliver to the house anyway. Would have been just as easy to pick up at the embassy

  2. Also your 2011 tax return and bring 09 and 10 too just in case, bank statements showing your liquid assets, Pics of you together in lima and preferably with her fsmily too plus plane tickets. Please contact me for any addtl questions. My story of interview is posted on the consulate review page.

  3. Thats great that you are proceeding!! I just wrote the story of the interview which you might find helpful. Please feel free to ask me any specific questions. Be sure you have ALL of the items they specify on that list plus some pictures but one word on forms. you do not need the 864 form, only the 134. plus one #156 for for each person wanting the visa and that form is NOT on the lis...

  4. Hi, I see you have an interview date but your post seems to say that maybe your relationship has ended? If thats the case very very sorry to hear that especially after you have came so far!

  5. Sorry but i cannot remember the name and dont have the papers here but she was a female doctor and only one of the two doctors is female. She is fluent in english. I dont know if they both charge the same or not because the other doctor never returned our call.

  6. It was expensive! The price for the exam is 400 soles, more than shown on the websites. Worst thing is that they dont make it clear the vaccinations are not included and can add as much as 700 soles to the cost if you have not already had them all.it took 2 weeks to get the results which were ok but its very unsettling as the entire visa depends on being healthy. Its a very thorough exam.

  7. Hi,

I wondered if you received your interview date yet? If not be sure you call them! And another tip: 3 of the requirements for the interview, certificado policial, antecedente penales & antecedente judiciales, require HOURS of standing in line to get! I guess part of the public workers are on strike now. Has been very stressful for Macee but she is to pick up the last of the ...

  8. They only accept calls for K1 visa matters between 2 and 3 PM

  9. IMPORTANT-if you don't hear from the embassy soon, CALL them! Our papers for the interview were sent over 2 weeks ago and still Macee has not received it.She is making the long trip to the embassy tomorrow to get it. I have heard 2 other similiar stories of others in Lima. I am told The mail system in Lima is a joke but I guess the embassy does not know this! You can call between 2...

  10. Ah I am sorry for your delay. I paid the $1300 for help on my petition as from what I knjow now, would have been very difficult with no help. You know I have a feeling that they never even looked at our petitions probably until just recently and what a shame they could not of contacted you earlier. I hope they get right on it once they get your updated info!

  11. Sandra and Ray. TODAY was the day as received notification that petition approved! Hope you got yours too? Only bad part is that I received the text just when I turned my phone on after stepping of the plane from Lima and can't share the moment with Macee!

  12. thanks, I called the USCIS inquiry number today which was a waste of time as she just quoted the VSC report that is on the website.Suggested I call the VSC direct but had no #. Im looking for that now!I am starting to think about how to take this to a higher level if I have not heard anything by the first of the month. Hard to think only 2 yrs or less ago these were processed ib 3 or 4 mon...

  13. In trying to compare out situations,I was wondering if you noticed the date that your petition was "last handled" when you sign in to your account in the USCIS website? Mine still shows 4/23 for the last handled date supposedly the last time someone worked on your petition and if that is the case, no one has touched mine since Apr 23! Hope its not been forgotten in a stack somewher...

  14. Yes the Vermont Service Center is very far behind right now and there is even a petition circulating as there are many angry people. I tried to calculate our approval date based on the data in their monthly reports but its hard because they seem to have gotten slower every month for the last 3 or 4. If you receive approval please post asap and I will do the same and good luck to you too!

  15. Our NOA1 date is 17 April, the same as yours. It should be getting close!
