Tried to expedite, but no luck. Those, who got expedite clearance - what were your reasons?

Four months is horrible! I suggest contacting your member of Congress and joining American Families United (www.americanfamiliesunited.org). AFU is working with Congress to limit AP to six months. If you're interested, I'd love to have you sign my petition, as well. My husband has been stuck in AP for 10 weeks, and I'm so appalled at the lack of accountability in this process that I've put together this petition asking for a 90-day limit for AP, and a review of the entire process with the goal of limiting it to six months.

Political activism DOES work.

Why such a passive approach? I can't understand feeling this way. I'm circulating a petition and using every contact I have to speed this up. I feel it's an abrogation of my rights as an American.

Nobody will give a timeline for AP. That's a major part of the problem. American Families United is trying to get Congress to put in a six-month limit - after that they would have to come up with an explanation.
