  1. After waiting for 11 months and trying to be patient we finally got our Interview Date; April 30, 2012. For some of you wondering here is a quick timeline.

Filed our papers on April 12, 2012

Approval of the i-130 November 2012

Papers sent to the NVC end of January 2013

NVC requested more paperwork middle of Feburary 2013

    Interview Date Notice March 5,2013.

At the moment my husband is preparing for his Doctor's appointment in Surrey B.C Vancouver.

We will let you guys know what happens after the interview date and I will have my husband write his experience on here so that others may know what to expect.

Wish us luck! And thank you again to everyone who has written to us offering support and answering our questions.

  2. I'm going to be honest I am super bad at being patient and after 5 months and 3 weeks we got a Request for Evidence they posted this yesterday through the USCIS website and I'm freaking out. I called the 1-800 number and they couldn't tell me anything. I just don't understand what more evidence do they need we have a three year old son together we have been married for 4 years what can they possibly need that they just couldn't approve him??? And will it take another 5 almost 6 months to get approved or denied?

  3. Our service center is in California and our NOA1 is dated April 12,2012. I already put in a service request and I am suppose to hear something this Friday. But let me know when you do get a response. I'm very anxious about getting our NOA2.

    Dear VJ Members,

Our service center is Vermont and our NOA1 was dated April 10, 2012. I know that lot of other VJ members, who had received their NOA1 in Feb. and March are still waiting for NOA2. In our case, it's well beyond 5 months and no NOA2. Should I call USCIS for a service request or do you think it's too soon?

  4. Hello everyone and anyone who read this. I am an Amercian Citizen and my husband is Canadien and on April 12, 2012 we received our receipt number. Well we are past our 5 months and we are getting stressed and frustrated with not receiving a response. We have already put in a service request and they just tell us to put in another one. Our lawyer told us that they are taking a long time because of Obama giving the illegal immigrants a free pass. I'm sure he used some other words but no one can tell me how much long do we have to wait and how long is too long? We filed in the California Service Center btw. It's very hard waiting and I just can't fit my head to understand why it's taking a long time, we have a son together, we have been married for 4 years, he has no criminal history. I just don't understand. Has anyone out there been in my shoes?
