    I-864 Income Threshold

    Hi all,

    Thanks for the helpful information. I have one tax year of income well above the 125% threshold. The previous two were below due to Peace Corps service. I plan to submit with proof of employment and approximately $10,000 in assets (traditional savings, health savings and retirement account). Has anyone heard of someone being RFE'd or denied in a similar situation? Would it be smart to use a co-sponsor?

    Please,need help, so confused.

    I filed a visa for my wife, so after all

    on march 2012, the NVC required an Affidavit of Support.

    I filed the form, knowing that my income don't meet the requirement for a soponsor. adding to that, I don't have a W2, I uselly file for self employed tax return.

    after sending Affidavit of Support.

    after few monthes the nvc requires other documents, and I send them.

    on November 2012 the NVC send me a litter saying that my wife case has been completed,it's processing.

    And The petition is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled at the embassy.

    here is the Q. should I send a join sponsor since my income doesn't meet the requirement for a sponsor. Because I been told that if someone didn't meet the requirement income, his/her case interview delayed. or should I wait for an appointment to be scheduled.

    Please help, I'm so so confused.

    that happened to me couple weeks ago. although my income was more than required nvc sent my case to embassy ..but the counsolar said that they need joint sponsor....it will be good if u find a joint sponsor now and give it at the time of interview

    hi Vj friends, i need you help again, we just got visa for my parents and wife, since that was all seperate petition..my question is can they come united states at different period of time or they all have to come at a same time. i am thinking to call my wife first and thinking to call my parents after couple months...neep help!!!

    how long average does it take for nvc to complete a case once it receives the required documents for spouse visa

    as of me after they received all documents, they response me in 12 days ..but after that i got RFE and it pushes my case to 35 days back. if all you documants approve it takes 10/15 days. not more than that . u nedd to call them twice a week.

    I don't understand.. wouldn't the NVC have determined with your Affidavit of Support package if you had enough income before the case was even transferred to the embassy for your interview??

    Did you do DCF?

    you are right NVC determines the AOS, Nvc deternimes only the current income is sufficent or not ..once Nvc approves consular determines wheather you can support the intending immigrant, he looks at your past year's tax return, consular determines weather to give visa or not if your past return income is insufficant.

    First of all i would like to thank all the friends of VJ, form the very first day of petition of my parents and wife i was following Vj friends. even without any knowledge of immigrant visa iam success today with the help of Vj friends and their experience, i went through every stps to get success today. thank you all vj members, i got RFE many times but with the help of vj friends i made it successs.

    here is the story ....my family got interview on 16th dec, i had seperate 3 petitions parents and wife. as we all know we have to file different petition for each member, i filed 3 petitions i 130 on march 2011 and got approved from USCIS and nvc gave me case number after around 12 days , i did all the process with the help of vj family, got rfe for not submitting the hard copy of origal documants at native language, bucause of this RFE my case delayed about 35 days, finally i send all the documants and case completed on october , and it take around 18 days to schedule for interview at us embassy, they gave me interview date for dec 18. waiting waiting and waiting for the day...finally that day has come my parents and wife went to interview, interview started , our turn comes on the last..only three people left on counsolar office my parents and wife, they called them all together and start interviewing, it was about 3 minutes interview ...where is your son/husband. .... what he do for living...? and what is his best food..? ..Is it love or arrange marriage,,,,? do you have marriage album..?

    interview done ..result denied...Counsolar says income is low need to find a joint sponsor as soon as possible they kept all 3 passports and returned all the original documants that submitted at NVC.they gave a paper saying need a joint sponsor....we request please just give visa for just one of us....but they denied and suggest us to find a joint sponsor ....joint sponsor for three people its really hard..but god is kind i was able to find one ..we send joint sponsor's I 864 and tax returns on jan 3 through the email to counsolar and after 6 days they call all of us to take visa. passport with visas...happy ..thanks god..

    so friends don't be dissapointed incase of RFE...god is great ...you will be success....thank you all again

    DS230 HELP PLEASE

    I WILL BE FILLING OUT MY WIFE'S VISA APPLICATION FORM DS-230. MY QUESTION IS CAN I FEEL PART IN THE COMPUTER AND PART BY HAND? SINCE THERES NOT ENOUGH ROOM IN SOME FIELD TO TYPE THE ANSWERS. ALSO QUESTION 31A SAYS TO MENTION PERSON WHO WILL ACCOMPANY THE APPLICANT, AND I HAVE LISTED OUR DAUGHTER IN QUESTION 29 WHO WILL TRAVEL WITH MY WIFE, BUT SHOULD I PUT OUR DAUGHTER IN 31A? I WILL FILE CRBA FOR MY DAUGHTER AT A LATER TIME BUT MY WFE WILL NOT LEAVE TO U.S.A WITHOUT OUR DAUGHTER. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP.

    Hello I am preparing DS 230 for both of my parents.

    somebody please let me know what are the documents I need to include with each DS230.

    I heard that I need to include my original birth and marriage certificate. I have only one original birth and marriage certificate. If I put all the original in my fathers DS230 then is it ok if I put the photocopy in my mothers DS230.

    write a small note saying " all the orginals are with the NVC case 12123323, and send photocopies insted of original

    i'm so confused right now!! my case was approved like 5 days ago!! and i know that soon i should be doing some things!! but i dont undersrand about mail the DS-3032.. They will tell me email it or I just have to email it after I get my case number??? And what I have to put on it?? And which email i have to send it?? Help i'm si confused. With this - DS-3032 stuff HELLLLPPPPP :thumbs: :thumbs:

    they will send you ds 3032 on your e-mail. wait until they ask you to take any action.

    NVC received my Case today...

    Hello All,

    Reading, reading, reading for the the next step...I'm awaiting for my Case# and was advised by the Representative; wait 10-15 business days to have it entered into the system. So I can get our Case#, ask for Invoice ID.# and give NVC (Pet. and Ben.) e-mail address. Then have my husband email the DS3032 to NVC.. Once that's done.. We can pay the AOS and IV Packet online at the same time when it's generated in the system..

    IV Packet...Does my husband have to translate our Marriage Certificate? Although he's sending in the Original copy??

    Please let me know if the Process is correct.. Thanks!!! :)

    if the interview going to be in your native country you don't have to translet, original at native language is fine
