I posted this as a new topic but nobody has answered maybe you guys can help me. To be sure the embassy will accept the co-sponsors Affidavit of Support how much
money should he make to be over the minimum 125%. A thousand, 2 thousand or 5 thousand?
I don't want him to be right at the 125% because I fear they would reject his I864. Somebody please help me.
Also I wrote to President Obama about my case 3 months ago. Today I got a letter from USCIS in the mail. I have not read the letter yet. I am too afraid to read the
letter. Why would USCIS be writing to me and not the Department of State? After 4 years of dealing with the visa process all my money is gone and my nerves are shot. I can't take it anymore. I feel so much pressure. If I tell my husband I got the letter he will say open it right away. So I am not going to tell him. I am just goingto leave the letter alone until I feel more courage.
I understand your anxiety Carolyn. I had the same reaction to a government response letter a couple of months ago. But the only way to overcome anxiety is to face it directly. Whenever you feel so anxious you need to push yourself more to do it and get it over with. Otherwise you will keep falling in bad habits and get crippled by your anxiety. I know its not any fun but try to do it

but why? for how long they will stop issuing visas?
Because they will keep issuing visas as long as they have money/funding ready to do their jobs. When the money is not available they need to stop working. Hopefully this problem will be fixed soon though. Don't worry too much yet.

It is a good sign but it happened to our case too and then no updates for months. I've read several couples saying they had many updates within the first two weeks after then interview, and then no updates for periods of 1 month or more. I think its just normal to get this updates at the start. Don't get too hopeful that your visa is coming just in a week or few days. It still may take a few months

I am on the same boat. Case was updated on Sep 10, 19, 26, and 27....
*fingers crossed* inshallah everything will turn out good.
maybe visa is coming. Did CO return all of your original documents? I was given the green slip and returned all originals

Don't listen to anyone who gives you a timeframe. They always give guesses based on what they think but from what I've heard they are usually wrong. Different people have told us less than 2 months, less than 6 months, very soon, I mean they just seem to make up it.

ok thank you sam&waq
No dear I didn't mean to say that "you" are annoying . I meant to say that the list is too long. The list is annoying. not you.
We appreciate your effort of keeping us updated
-
dude stop posting this list again and again. we get the point. its annoying as hell. every page is full of u posting this list. do it once a month. not everyday. get a life please!
Yes this list is annoying. It is on every page. It is unnecessary. I am sure not many people want to see this list many times on one page

It is good to see people finally getting their visas. Congratulations!
I hope the embassy will continue to issue visas and that my husband will get his soon.
You are very strong and optimistic. You and your husband have been waiting for such a long time to be together
It is surprising to know that you are still hopeful that your husband will get visa. Maybe Embassy is holding onto your husband's visa processing for some reason. Otherwise It shouldn't take that long.
we can't wait any longer for visa to be together.
-
It seems like AP is taking too long for us and Visa may not be issued for even next one year. That's why we are planning on living in Pakistan and wait for the procedure together.
-
I wanted to let you guys know that by the grace of Allah, my husband was issued his visa on sept 3rd on the day of his birthday. He was interviewed on April 22nd and was put on AP. we got the call from American Express on sept 5th and he picked his passport and visa packet on sept 9th. I wish all of you the very best of luck and I hope the wait is over soon.
Congratulations that is a very good news. Would you mind telling us your NOA 1 date. we were thinking that maybe they don't want to process visa until it is one year since our NOA 1 date.

We are still under AP
How long do we need to wait? Is there anyway for us to know what's going on with our case? CO didn't say anything bad at the interview What's taking so long
-
plz someone can tell me how can i withdraw my case?and is it ok if i do marraige with any other like uk citizen girl, that case and use case is totally differnet? after submitting withdraw application can i do any other place marraige as soon or i have to wait for some time
Excuse me ! what do you mean by the term "any other like uk citizen girl" ?
What are you trying to do? Were to trying to get US visa so you could get married with your Love Fiancee or Did you get engagged only because You wanted to get Green Card ?? !
Unfortunately because of people like you, other applicants who have family and children in US are stuck in AP
-
Well you are a much stronger person than I , because there is no way I can or will wait 16 months for AP. I plan on waiting 3 more months and making some decision then on plan B .I would rather live with my fiance in a third country than deal with this black hole .
I wish you good luck on your journey , you deserve it so much . I can only imagine how hard your wait has been.
We would like to live in a third country too but we don't seem to have any option we don't know where to go. everyone is keeping everyone out of their country.
-
CO says a lot of things that aren't true. Like how long AP might be
-
The only reason of being put on AP is security checks if your relationship is genuine in all ways. In your case , you don't seem to have a big age difference or some other weird thing that looks odd in pakistani/US culture.
This is the case for us too. Our case is very simple and normal in all ways. but still we are going through Administrative processing. It is all because of bad things criminals and terrorists have done in Pakistan.

our case updated date changed on July 19th. Last time it was updated on April 30th

Hi everyone, just wanted to update you all on our case. After exactly 1 year from our I-130 petition date, our case started updating, Sept 26 and Sept 27. Then the next Monday Sept 30 it updated in the morning, and later that evening the status updated to Issued! Alhamdulilah. My husband kept calling the American Express office about visa pick up and they told him they didn't have it yet and it will take one to two weeks and they will call him when its ready. But he was impatient, he kept calling their office the next day until someone answered. She told him oh yes we just received your packet, we were going to call you next week , but you can come pick it up now. So my husband went there and paid 850 rupees to get his visa. He arrived in the US yesterday, no problem through immigration, no bag search, easy breezy. We are very very happy now and our son is laughing and playing so much with his Daddy, who won't put him down for one second!
We hope with all these recent approvals that things really are going to speed up for everyone now
