  1. Nothing to worry about. Provide copies of document they asked for. If you are near to a passport agency, I think it would make sense to make an appointment and shell out 60 bucks and walk out with newly minted passport. If you decide to mail out copies of documents they are asking for , it's my understanding you still get to keep your priority date, and will get your passport on time. When did you apply for your passport? Did you have a recent name change?

thanks for your replied.. I sent all my documents for them already. I did my passport 3,5 weeks ago. and I did change my name it's on my certificate of naturalization.

I'm a little confused. What documents did you hand in to the acceptance agent? The only document they should need from a newly minted US citizen is a Certificate of Naturalization, which they keep for a few weeks and mail back to you.

at that time they only asked for fotocopies of my driver license and they took my certificate .

  2. Hallo guys.. yesterday , I got a letter from United States Department of state , Charleston Passport Center .. it said the identification you provided is not sufficient for passport purposes. Please submit photocopies of Five (5) or more personal documents , which are five (5) years or older. for your information we have included a list of acceptables forms of personal documents that may assist our office in establishing your identity. however , you may submit any other document in your possession that shows either your name and photo (with issue date) or name and signature ( with issue date).

does anyone have this experience ?

and how long it's gonna take if I send all documents they need ? shold I worry about this ? :(

    please help...

    thank you in advance.

  3. Got my passport in the mail the same day as the passport card and returned certificate. Took about 3 and half weeks after application. Registered to vote fairly soon after Oath ceremony and yesterday took my passport to Social Security and changed my status to citizen. All done! Good luck everyone

congrat for your paspor.. I still waiting for mine.. it's almost 3 weeks now since I sent it.

btw, when you change your status ? did you just change at Social Security office ? how about your status on ID/DL ? I think we should go there too to update our status..

If you not change your name.. and you have AAA member .. you can update your status at AAA office instead DMV.

  4. congrats Estebantrabajos ...

  6. Congrats... Question #1 might seem tricky cause it's not one of the questions in the naturalization test but if you invert the QA (ie, what is the question that leads to the answer "The constitutions").. then it will help... Answer: supreme law of the land tongue.png ..

Journey is almost done.. I'm thinking we're both going to have the same oath ceremony .. there was one on 23rd May and the next one is on 26th June.

Your fine AS LONG AS you mail them before the deadline.

yeah .. I hope so . :) please update when you get your letter for oath ceremony .

  8. You'll probably be traveling on 10W at one point but I live in Santa Monica so traveling on 10E (as opposed to 10W) gets jammed all the time after 7AM.. I knew when I had to leave to beat the traffic (Left at 6AM even though I had 9:45AM interview time). 7AM is when the traffic starts to build up on 10E.. 10W is even worst from Downtown LA to Westside cause most people live in Downtown Los Angeles but works in west side. But since your interview location is in Downtown Los Angeles (and not westside) you might have some luck there... but I wouldn't risk it cause THERE WILL BE LINES on the outside of the building... plan accordingly and if your interview is indeed in downtown los angeles (300 N. Los Angeles St) then parking is in 334 East Temple Street, $8 flat rate.

thanks man.. I will go early.. for sure. happy.png

  9. On May 16, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled. wow congrats bigman.. :D

I have some questions.. It's trafiic LA very bad in the morning when you went there ? I have interview at 7.15am on 28th .

  10. my status has changed to this "On April 22, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview"

does anyone know usually take how long until I receive the interview letter ? waiting like this make me so nervous.. :crying:

so better I wrote down here..

  11. It's hard to tell. I've been in line for an interview since March 15 but haven't heard anything again since then. My application will reach its two-month mark on April 25 (I filed on February 25) so hopefully that's gonna make a difference. I want an interview date so I can plan my travels better.

TOT, you applied earlier than I did so I hope you won't have to wait another month.

yup..sometime I think it's depend on what city you live too..

one of my friends filed on december got schedule for 24 april and we live in same city .

it's look like your faster than mine ( almost 1 month different)

  12. If the processing time on this forum's timeline for Los Angeles was any indication, it would seem like it would take a month until you been scheduled for an interview (was from the time you have been placed in line). Let's hope you get yours sooner. Congrats.

    Congrats.

so that's mean I need to wait another month to get scheduled for an interview ? I was hoping mine is fast like you.. :innocent:
