Hi I think you've indicated that your papers were sent to Moscow? Did U figure something out about the DHL stuff?
Mike
NVC uses DHL to send documents to Moscow. It takes 3 days.
I haven't called DHL yet about shipping documents to her home address. But I remember I talked to them 2 months ago and they told me they do ship documents to home addresses.
-
She lives in Moscow
-
Call DHL at 888-826-5636-- ask them about this. I suggest if they only ship to business address then maybe U ship to her place of work or another trusted "business" friends business. All I am saying is to check it out-- U don't wanna lose your papers. Remember this is Russia-- their mail system is awful. U need to adapt--improvise
I talked to DHL on the phone once. They said they can deliver documents... But yeah I'll call them again. I don't trust any business in Russia.

Hi I don't think Fed EX or the other does the international stuff--- DHL is the best Mike
if DHL only ships to BUSINESS addresses, then how am I supposed to send my fiancee these papers? She doesn't live at a business address

Thanks for the info.
If not DHL, can I use some other company? FedEx? UPS?
I'll be sending her papers next week

Hey everyone,
we received our NOA2 on December 13, 2012. I've been calling NVC to check if they got our case. Today I called and they told me that our case needs "ADDITIONAL PROCESSING"........ What does that mean???
Has anyone else ever seen this?
Thanks
-
I received an email when I got my NOA1. Right after that, our case appeared on the USCIS website with the "INITIAL REVIEW" status.
Then 6 months later I received an email saying "your status changed." So I went to the USCIS website and saw that our status is still the same. It was still "INITIAL REVIEW" but on the bottom of that, there was a new message. It said "your alien registration number has been changed..."
Then 1 week after that, I got another email. This time it was the NOA2 approval email.

I don't understand....
How are you getting this information?
are these only packages going from NATIONAL VISA CENTER?
How do you find these numbers?

Oh I know! we're crossing our fingers to get the NOA2 around april... now, i'm gonna bother you with a question, if it's not much to ask but i don't know much about this... i'm traveling in a couple weeks to be with my fiance in the US, will the fact that they assigned an alien number to me affect me in any way at the POE? i have a tourist visa valid thru 2015. thanks for your help
From what I've heard.... it is POSSIBLE to travel to US while waiting for a K1 visa, but............ it's possible that they won't let you enter...... because they know that you're trying to move here and stay here. So you have to PROVE to them that you plan on going back. That means you have to take barely anything with you. And you have to show them proof that you have things back home to go back to (a house, a job....)
I actually called the state department (or whatever it's called) about this and asked them if it's possible for my fiancee in Russia to get a tourist visa to visit me while we're waiting for the K1. They just told me "NO." I called USCIS about this and they also told me "NO."
....... So I don't know......

Hi you guys. My fiance and I are September filers, NOA1 Oct 2nd, and we got the same message today, saying the alien registration number changed on Oct 9th. We are now on the initial review!
(or at least that's what the system says) I understand during this stage what they do is a background research and they make sure we have the right papers in our I129F package. If we got our NOA2 soon it would be awesome! however, I'm trying to not get over excited, just in case the waiting continues.
Alien registration number changed = someone touched your papers. That's really all it means. The waiting time for Vermont is still 6 months, so expect to get your NOA2 6 months after September.... around February....
-
Some people get this message right after NOA1 and some people get it right before NOA2.
For me, it was right before NOA2. 1 week after receiving this message, I got NOA2.
But it's been 6.5 months since my NOA1.
I don't think this message really means anything. I don't think it will affect your processing time. I think all it means is they have your case in their system, and they updated something.

Just got my NOA2!
this is how long it took for us:
NOA1 June 5th
NOA2 December 13........
-
I got this message 1 week ago and today I got my NOA2!!!!
But I've been waiting for 6.5 months.....
FINALLY!!!!!
Guys...
On December 13, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

That is interesting to look at but it is only as good as data it is pulling from, correct? Another words, if people start but don't complete filling in their timeline, it will show false output to a degree.
Yes. The data is live data from igors list. It depends completely on people filling out their timelines

Oh yeah. That's true.
It works for all of you. When you change from CSC to VSC, the graph changes, but the label doesn't change for some reason. But the graph works. June is at 38% right now
-
Weird... Don't know why. Maybe try a different computer. I don't know why it works for me and not for you
-
I'm using GOOGLE CHROME browser and it works for me. Maybe try using CHROME
-
just checked. it's working for me
Select "Vermont Service Center" from the drop down box and click CHANGE
-
Expect to wait forever..... VERMONT is sooooo slowwwww
My NOA1 was June 5th. I'm still waiting..........
-
it shows how RANDOM approvals are
there is no logic behind approvals at Vermont Service Center........ Just random people getting approved from different dates. It's not in order at all....
-
Hey guys,
not sure how many of you know about this awesome website...
it shows a VISUAL GRAPH of all the approved petitions for California & Vermont Service Centers
check it out for youself:

Yes, I got the same message. I also saw a couple other people here get the same message.
I still haven't gotten an approval, but other people who had this message got their approval in 2-3 days after receiving this message.
I called USCIS again to find out why I got this message. Every time I call them, they tell me something different. The people answering phone calls DON'T KNOW ANYTHING. They are useless.
This time I called and asked what's going on. They told me that MY alien registration number has been changed... I used to have a green card years ago, and now I'm a naturalized citizen. So somehow this has to do with MY alien registration number.
In the end, I still have no idea what the hell is going on, and I can only hope that I'll get my approval this week. Just like others did.
NVC "Additional Processing" ???
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
The "additional processing" didn't really mean anything. Our paperwork went through NVC in a normal time frame.
The lady who told me "additional processing" on the phone sounded like a robot. All she knew how to do is read her computer screen. She couldn't explain anything to me.
I calle again later and talked to a real human, who told me that everything went through fine.
