    I just called and was put on hold for 50 minutes, then I got disconnected... then I called again, and was put on hold for another 1:15....!!! To get someone on the phone that told me to wait 2 more months... then I asked, what will happen after that? And she said to start another service request and wait 2 more moths.... I got to do something..... Praying is not working... Congressmen can’t do anything.... Service ticket is a BS... so, what do I do...!!!! :rofl:

    Hi, Everyone:

    This is a revival of an old topic started here on this site:

    This website is a useful tool for obtaining information but it seems to me that we're still operating as individuals rather than a group. With some targeted political activism, it seems to me we'd have a better chance of getting results.

    As I enter my eighth month of waiting, and trying the Service Ticket, contacting my congressmen and talking to the best immigration attorneys, I finally realized that I could be waiting for another 6 months to a year without getting any information back from VSC.

    One of my biggest concerns about USCIS is the lack of transparency in the process and having to rely on a site like VJ for information and support.

    Here are some of the ideas:

    1. Letter writing campaign.

    2. Demonstrations in several cities, with media outreach.

    3. Website designed specifically to inform public about these issues.

    Have these already gotten underway? If not, are people willing to volunteer a few hours to work on this? Does anyone have political organizing experience? Can we coordinate with immigrant rights groups? Any thoughts?

    I understand that it is my choice, and I should wait as long as they want us to wait... I only thought that my case is a real simple one... I work for Uncle Sam and have an active security clearance...

    Being a full time (24x7x356) single dad that makes it a lot more than just an emotional need... I'm not sure why did I get myself and my kids into an open-ended situation like this... I should have known better.... But I wasn't thinking straight.

    I sometimes want to just breakdown ... But I can't for my kids.... Marry Christmas everyone...
