I've been reading so many mixed messages on this topic and they are all super old so I figure I'd ask here. My Wife arrived on a K-1 last April (2013), we married within 90 days like the visa requires. we ran into issues with her AOS which led to the documents not being accepted till This Feb. This is beyond 180 days after her I-94, and Visa expired. We applied for Advanced parole along with EAD, and AOS. We were hoping to get back to Aus this year to see her family. the question i have is whether K1 holders are considered out of status if the visa expires, and AOS isnt filed, we dont want to be on our way back to find out she isnt allowed back in. has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks!

Title says it all. We recieved my wifes's appointment date today. Problem is her AOS iS filed under her married name, and all of her current ID shows her maiden name. We put her maiden in the application, under other names used. Should she bring the marriage certificate with her to the appointment to show the name change?

This is hopefully the last time i need to look for advice! This is more to put my fiance at ease, She has her interview on Tuesday (Hooray)!! When she tried to schedule her medical they were not able to get her in till 2 weeks later, She lives in Adelaide so she was hoping to save a trip to Sydney, so clearly that back fired. so we just want to make sure that she wont be turned away from the interview and will just have to wait till the embassy receives the medical results in a few weeks before they issue her the visa. Thanks again guys! This forum has mad this horrible, stressful, and at times hopeless ordeal easier!!

Hi guys!

My fiance got her Interview date from the us Embassy in Canberra in Australia! We are super excited but we've run into a stupid issue! looking at the letter she received it says she needs to go to ustraveldocs and set up an account to pay for the visa. Two big issues, 1)she has already scheduled the visa, so would she mess up her already scheduled interview by following that? 2) we are going for a K1 immigrant, the only options are for non immigrant. I looked back on a few post and came across the link below, is this what she needs? This website is so lame I thought it was a scam at first! Thanks for all the help guys!!
