  1. Just curious if anyone at the end of there interview . Was not told you are approved ( Congratulations ) , or just denied. But was told that you just have to wait for us ( U S Embassy ) to email you to ask for additional information. Or wait for our text to tell you to pick up your visa .

My fiancée asked then , are we approved ? Consul answered ---> your information just needs a CLEARANCE .

Has anyone on VJ run into this kind of an answer from the consul in your interview ?

Just making this brief . All other questions at the interview was the standard questions they always ask .

    Thanks for your input.

  2. Well I called NVC this morning. And guess what ???? Our Petition finally arrived today Monday June 3 rd . Wow finally !!!

Was approved on May 20th .

Anyone approved around this date, your petition should be there.

Just have to call each day after to see if a case number has been assigned .

  3. Yes the petition is at the Manila Embassy , as what my fiancee was told by the consulate at the Manila Embassy .

And yes all cases are suppose to go to the NVC , but our's did not make it there for the review and assignment of the case number.

Now what the consulate told my fiancee is that they are going to make the most possible effort to correct this issue and will be in contact with my fiancee when they recieve and answer from the NVC .

Giving a little info to everyone on VJ , just take the time to read that I-797 first paragraph , and see if they are sending it to the right destination .

just saying this since USCIS CSC asked me what my I-797 read .

" People can make mistakes " . that can lead to a different outcome than what's suppose to happen.

I can say i am calm and collective to all this process. Waited this long for an approval , whats another month or two.

  4. When you recieve your I-797 ( noa2 ) approval letter that you recieve in the mail. Read the first paragraph and just to make sure that your K-1 petition is going to NVC .

Let me explain what has happened to our approved petition .

We were approved on May 20 th . 5 days later i recieved our I-797 in the mail . So just looking threw it and just doing some reading , i was thinking , great in another 5 days or less i can starting making some calls to the NVC and checing on out to see if we have recieved our case number. Also i email them within 7 days as well .

Well my fiancee is a little bit anxious , and decided she wanted to call NVC and see about our case number. So she made the call and was told they haven't recieved our petition yet. The following day after i was told by her that they dont have our petiton yet from CSC . I make the call and was also told they dont have our WAC number in there system. Meaning they dont have our petiton after 10 days.

Now NVC tells me to give CSC and call and find out if they have sent our petition .

I call CSC , give them my WAC number , she looks it up , says its been approved and has been sent to NVC . Well i explain to her that they dont have it . She then ask's me if i recieved our I-797 in the mail . I say yes i have it here in my hand now. She then say's , read the first paragraph and tell me what it says .

I dont have the I-797 here while making this post to type in word for word. So it just says that your petition is approved and has been sent to your consulate.

Well once i read that to her , she says , sir your petition has been sent to your Consulate . I go " Really " how can that be. Our K-1 visa suppose to go to the NVC to be assigned a case number. And she says yes thats whats suppose to happen .

I ask now , so what am i suppose to do now . Ah she says , You should call your consulate and see if they have your petition . I need to call the Manila consulate to see if my petition is there ? Yes sir.

Well thats great, i say . Then i ask her , do you have the number ? hehehe

No sir i sure dont. lol

So now i try calling but of coarse time zone difference .

I let my fiancee know all what has happened. So now she makes the call to the Manila Consulate.

She finds out from them that our petition is here . She ask's them for a case number , but that is not one for our petition .
So the consulate tells my fiancee that they will email the NVC and get this taken care of and hopefully get us our case number so we can move ahead on this oh so long process .

Please read your I-797 when it arrives , just to make sure that your petition is being sent to the correct location its suppose to go.

Just a little info for everyone .

  5. Try WWW.XOOM.COM

He can deposit it straight to your Philippine account in matter of minutes.

    :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I use Xoom all the time for money transfer's . Its great when you have one month free money transfer code .

Coupon code of the month of March is ---- MARCHON

  6. Thanks everyone for your reply . :) . I will for sure be checking the stamp date that i recieve from immigration when i arrive . And also i will ask the immigration people while i am there and see if i am under the 21 day rule or will i have to get then extention. If in doubt , ask questions while i am there. Just in case. Never know what might happen when one arrive's in the Philippines. hehe

  7. While waiting for our NOA2 to arrive. I dedided to take another trip to the Philippines to be with my fiancee for her summer brake from work. So my question is -- Does anyone have an idea when the timer starts from when you enter Philippines and go threw immigration and recieve your stamp ? Example I arrive on the 8th of April at 9:00 pm , and i will depart at 11:00 pm on April 29th , in which is a total of 21 days. Was just thinking if i would be needing to get the extention or do you think i would be under the 21 day rule ?

Thanks everyone for your help .

  8. I have been using xoom for many money transfers to Geh. Its safe , fast and many places for her to pick up the cash. Also you can get a coupon code for a free transfer every month. I not able to get the code from work at this moment. I know someone on VJ would know the code for January , so you can save a few dollar's . I also setup my bank account to transfer money as well, makes it alittle cheaper. And yes the exchange rate sucks . Just something you have to live with when doing a International money transfer. :(
