June 23, 2014 marks our first year of a very happy marriage. We have been so blessed from the beginning,alhamdulillah,and I wanted to update our story to share and show it can be done. My husband has adjusted to life in the US and has been working very hard, has good job and plans to finish his education. A special thanks to all the people from VJ that helped us along the way, and a very special thanks to the dear friends I have come to know. Inshallah may all your journeys be blessed.

His interview was April 15th @ 1:30PM, and from the start we had decided that I would join him. He was approved without any AP and we were finished with the interview by 3:30PM. Everyone there was so nice and Algiers was for me a lot like dated urban NY city with a french twist where of course the main language is arabic. I am in complete jet lag as I just arrived home midnight last night. I know there are people who would like details and I promise I will share...just need to rest a minute. ...

NVC received our packet today!!! hey hey hey....they gave me a reference # and said it would be on its way to the embassy in the next two weeks. Again, thank you God.

Posted Today, 09:04 AM I dont even know where to post this I am so excited but here it is, I woke to a valentine day I thought was going to be just another day of waiting and there it was ! APPROVED!!!! 6 months and 4 days and our status has finally moved from initial review to approved! I just cant smile hard enough! Hang in there Aug filers...it's coming Insha Allah. I have decided to share my birthday and age as I really have no shame in this and if ppl decide to judge that is their own problem, as it does not affect our love in the least. Plus every time I view someones profile it always says unknown age. We are here for support and feedback yet it seems all us females are not to keen on sharing our age. If this is truly a red flag it would be helpful to know how many people overcame this dilemma and how.
