Hi everyone, I know this is posted before and I have tried to research the answer as best I could, I just hope we are not screwed. Natasha has my name now and her passport is in her maiden name, she is in Russia with sick father, supposed to come back before Christmas. She was going to try and get the stamp in Russia but they will not accept the official copy of marriage certificate to change it. Also it will take like 3 months even with the apostled copy which I dont even know how to do. Anyway.....
1. I know she could be denied boarding if she gets some unhappy attendant
2. I will get tickets from expedia, so etickets or mailed to her for $36.00?
3. Do I get the tickets in her passport maiden name or greencard married name?
Read the threads but any other information will be helpful.

Thanks everyone for your support, AOS welcome letter was sent yesturday and online status changed today, two weeks after interview.
-
I thought AP was only for 30 days, is it more? Can she go and I could bring her green card later? I meant they are worthless if she has to be gone more than 30 days and that means she abandonned her adjustment of status. Sorry its been a very hard month and I am breaking down a little, but we still care care very much for each other and trying to make it all for the best.

I think she is ok, she will need her family and friends for a while, more than 30 days which the AP provides, if we have to we will do a K3 later, she has AP and EAD but they are worthless now, we need green card or nothing.

Natasha had a grand mal seizure last week so I want to know what our choices are.

Her name check is done, its not that.

Still no case update, not even touched and its a week now........ starting to worry about this, after all of this ####### we deserve to know something one way or another. As if there is not enough in life to worry about.
-
I hope we hear something soon, no update in case status yet and it has been 5 days, but 2 of them were on the weekend so hopefully it will happen in a couple more business days.
-
Yeah I did try asking and I also asked why she didn't take the cards or stamp the passport, she said because she didn't make a decision yet and then started saying her card would arrive in about three weeks. She was young and probably new, its really frustrating but hopefully everything will be ok.

Well we had our interview 2 hours ago. she looked at our pictures and complained we were her 13th interview and said see yah later, never told us anything about approval or denial. Dumb ###### chick, what a waste of time and worry. Now we dont know anything of where our lives are.

We dont have health insurance together yet, open enrollment is in October and so thats not available, no car insurance because she doesn't drive, no lease, but I will get something notorized by my mother, she is a beneficiary on my life insurance at work and I will try to get that. We have joint bank account, membership at Ballys Vic Tanny together, its too late to get credit cards in her name before interview. Oh well I guess we just bring everything we can.

We have interview on 21 September, living at my moms right now and so we don't have squat for evidence. Even the cell phone bill is only in my name but with a shared line. We only have pictures and a bank account Anyway I hope I have all the paper work, I don't have a copy of the affidavit of support, sent it in a hurry. Not nervous about the interview but my paperwork is in a mess all over the place, what paperwork do I need to bring? All the way back to the original submission?

Natasha just got her NOA and it says initial also, I thought that meant we have to go twice, it seems to quick for us to be near getting a green card.

To me that sounds like a really strange request, Tasha wanted me to meet everyone in her family and her friends, and we all took alot of pictures. We have a large age difference, but noone really cared because we all got along great. But really why ask us? Why not ask her this question so you know the real answer......or at least the one she is giving you. But then I don't really know the area she is from so maybe there is some tradition or belief that involves bad luck in showing pictures of your beloved before marriage. Just ask her!

Congrats Cliff and Ksenia,

Tasha got hers after about 10 days, appointment is at 8am on the 24th of July.

Well it would seem then the proper reaction should have been anger at the wifes abuse and instigation of violence towards her husband. I suppose if the woman was 250 pounds and had a black belt then he might be forgiven for being human and letting his emotions get the best of him. We all know these stories have two sides, but if this is the truth then I hope the anullment goes through and it ends gracefully. The law on domestic abuse includes nothing about gender, weight, size or height of the perpetrator as far as I have heard. I would do everything in my power to stay away from this person in any private situation, never come near her without some type of supervision, protect yourself from all allegations until this is over. Have you applied for AOS? Submitted an I864?

Natasha is not planning on going back until February, and personally I don't see why anyone would consider this out of the ordinary, she has elderly parents, a grandmother who is 85 and many very close friends, why wouldn't she want to go back and see them. Hell I wish I could go back to Russia for a few months and see the friends I have there. Well anyway I guess we just do what we have to when the time comes.

Thanks ceriserose, we have been married just over two months now and its her birthday tomorrow, I am going to get her one of those salon packages with the works : ) She has been hinting at it a bit. She will be 21 !!!!!

Ok so I applied for AP for Natasha, but she took my last name, so how the heck can she travel to Russia???
Her internal and external Russian passports show her maiden name, you can't get consulate to stamp without green card for her new last name!!! AP will show new last name, I just don't understand what name we would buy tickets in and how she can get in and out of Russia and then enter US. And when she has green card how can we get the stamp from consulate? Do we have to go there or can we fed ex everything? This is just a damn mess.
-
If I had known it was this complicated I never would have had Natasha change her name to mine, we will have to take a week long vacation to New York just to get a damn stamp in her passport. Might be easier and cheaper just to get her name legally changed back. Sorry to hear your in this situation.

Thanks Just making sure, seems like some people included a letter stating the reason.
