Our Story
Mai Hong and I began talking in the spring of 2010 when I had hit a rather hard patch in my life. She wanted to learn English and I needed someone to talk to. She saw my profile on a website called OKCupid, and I in turn saw hers. She sounded sweet. We started talking. Pretty soon we were talking for hours every day and everything else followed pretty quickly. I kind of figured we needed to do something if either of us was ever to get any sleep ever again.
In December of 2011 I went to Saigon where I met Mai Hong and her family and friends. It was the best trip of my life to date, and I love to travel so I've had many good trips. Saigon is big, loud, messy, and very definitely home to some of the most wonderful people I know. People in Saigon and Cai Lay were very welcoming to this large goofy western guy and I am very grateful. Cam on Vietnam. Cam on rat nhieu. And most of all, cam on Mai Hong. Anh yeu em my dear.
