I have a friend who is willing to fill the affidavit of support for my husband. Now my problem is she is married, but her marriage is not going so great she decided to file for divorce. Now I am wondering if she has to include him as a part of the house hold member, he doesn't live in america nor has he ever live in the united state she was working on his paper work but she doesn't want to continue the relationship. so please help me figure out if she has to mark that he is married which includes him as a part of the household, with him on the affidavit of support makes the income not meet the poverty line. please help ASAP!!!!!

You need to take a step back and look at why your family and friend may not want to be on the financial hook for you and your husband.
The I-864 Joint Sponsorship is not a piece of paper. It is a financial commitment to your husband. If your husband receives a forbidden benefit, your family and friends would be responsible. If your husband becomes ill and receives $100,000 of regular Medicaid, your I-864 Joint Sponsor would be responsible for paying that.
I have kids. My kids are the most important people in my life. I would never put them at risk by signing an I-864 for my sister's husband who is immigrating from a high fraud country.
Even if your husband divorces you, your I-864 Joint Sponsor would still be on the hook.
Why would anyone put his or her family at risk for your husband?
You can't say that you don't have family and friends just because they are not willing to put their families at risk for you. That's unfair.
Would you ever ask your family and friends to cosign an unlimited loan for your husband?
If you can't meet the financial requirement of the I-864, then you cannot petition for your husband.
Sorry.
All I can say is Thank You for coming here and just dumping so much before even really realizing what I have been going through! I have a chronic illness, I have two damaged kidneys and I have been through chemotherapy for 6 months before I got married. I have been suffering for so long and I thank God for bring my husband to me and softening my heart. I had 1500mg of water drained out of my heart just last year and then on top of that my lungs kept filling up with water, continuously drained 8x and now one lung is glued to my ribs. I will bring my husband to the States and we will live happy ever after because he is worth it! and I am sorry if things don't work out for you, half of the things I was talking about were more personal I just didn't put them out there for you to understand! Good Luck and God Bless You!

Hi, everyone
I am so stressed about this situation I am in right now, I am on disability and my income does not meet the requirement. What do I do, I thought I had family and friends but now I am alone. I love my husband so much and we just can't wait to be together, I am only in the united states because I need to be with my doctors. Over all I would just have to give up and go to my husband even though it might in danger my health, I can't stop crying every day and worried. I don't know what to do. Some one help me!

I called the Social Security office today, they told me that I am covered under the social security Act. So I receive both benefits because I have worked before I became disabled, I have been trying to figure out if I could get exempt so I wouldn't have to fill out the Affidavit of support for my husband. They told me even though I qualify for both benefits that doesn't mean I have earned 40 quarter credits but I have earned enough credit thats why I am eligible for both. Now I asked them to send me documents to show that I am covered under the SSA and also my payments. I don't know if this is enough though, please someone tell me if this makes any sense.
