I am a USC!!!!! It was a beautiful ceremony at the museum. The representative from USCIS is very friendly and humorous. There were magnificent symphony playing. We also got to visit the museum. The museum closes on Monday so it feels like private viewing just for us. There were 37 people from 18 countries. They called each country and every time people stood up, there were lots of round of applause. It's a just a nice feeling to be appreciated.
My family and friends came and they all mentioned how nice the ceremony was. They also commented how strict the oath of allegiance is - bear arm, give up loyalty, etc. They said they will never understand the whole predicament because they were born here. It's an eye opening experience to see what people sacrifice to be here.
To everyone here, thank you so much. I would never be here on the finish line, this quickly, without all your help and advice.
To those who are still waiting, I wish you good luck!!!! My mother in law gave me this card - see below. The inside card said "Great things come to those who GO for it!" That's so true, at least for me.
And also, Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Congrats ARDallas. I had my own Oath a day after yours. I filed June 29, had my Oath Nov 21. But i don't know who pulled down the June 2017 filers thread.. Congrats and good luck to those still waiting.

I passed the interview but the USCIS officer told me he can't make a decision at this time. He apparently needs to look more into my marriages,since i'm divorced from my US citizen wife,from whom i got my green card and now married to someone else. Mind you i applied under the 5 year rule, The officer was nice and courteous throughout while grilling me about my marriages and divorces. LOL. I will await till i hear from USCIS. Hopefully,i will get an oath ceremony letter soon.

I think what is required is your tax returns. There is no need for employment and salary information. Your tax return lets the USCIS know you are working and paying taxes

Unless you have been married for 2 years when the kids arrived they will have to file their own ROC when they meet the requirements as stated. They will most likley get 2 year green cards and then you will need to file for each of them on a seperate petition. Yeah stinks fees fees and more fees. but the good part is when it comes time just send a few things in along with dad's ROC approval wham bam 10 years cards for them. Kids GC will be 2 year cards as you are not married yet for 2 years upon their arrival if hubby is just filing his ROC.

See my time line for the ROC I did for dad and 2 boys. Dad GC 10/2007 kids came 3/08 and had to wait until the alloted time to file for kids, could not file with poppa

Good day y'all,
Please i need help with translating the attached document from spanish to english. Husband's kids came as unaccompanied minors and were given this piece of paper by CBP officers at airport,even though neither kids nor us understand spanish
Also,husband will file for ROC next month. His kids just came this month (May 2014) and we are expecting their green cards in the mail by next week. Should he file ROC for his kids too at the same time as his own. We think kids green card will be valid for a year,going by dates written on their passport.
