  1. Hi jojo,

My Status today(Jan 29th) changed to "Scheduled for oath ceremony and have sent a notice containing the date and location for oath ceremony". In my interview, the officer informed they plan to have a big event in San Antonio Jan 31st. I hope I'm not scheduled for Jan 31st since I can't travel to San Antonio with such a short notice. Let's see what happens.

    Hi chesser_

Can you please let me know when you receive the letter and i will do the same

    thanks

  3. My husband filed for ROC and we got an RFE for additional evidence. That was somewhat of a challenge due to the fact that I already owned my home and both cars before he came to America. Add to that, due to his religion he refuses to have his name on anything we pay interest on. I tried to explain to him he was cutting off his nose to spite his face...ah well some people have to learn the hard way. Anyway, we did send in some additional evidence as well as a notarized affidavit from my parents. My question is, how long does it typically take for a decision once you send back your RFE?

    Thanks!!!

USCIS RECEIVED MY RFE ON JUNE 26 2012 AND I RECEIVED DECISION ON SEPT 06.2012

  4. I got the RFE notice on 08/06/12 and sent back my package on 08/08/12.

USCIS (VSC) received my package on 08/09/2012.

Now almost 3 weeks passed, I didn't hear anything from them.

    Worrying....

dont worry man just need to wait and be patient

i filed on sept 15 2011 and i received rfe on june 22,2012 i sent back all documents requested to vsc and they received my package on june 26 2012

Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

  5. Same here man,i filed back in sep 2011 and i received an RFE ON JUNE 2012

I SENT ABOUT 4 BANK STAT, CAR/HOME INSURANCE POLICY/ AND ALSO TWO LETTER FROM MY PARENT IN LAW AS AN AFFIDAVIT

I SENT THEM BACK IN JUNE 28 AND FINALLY I WAS APPROVED ON SEPT 05.2012..ALMOST A YEAR

Hi everybody. I posted this in the Sept filers thread but figure i might get more replies here. I've been a longtime peruser of these forums. Filed ROC for my wife in sept 2011. Just got an RFE last week. It says we don't have enough to show good faith marriage, etc. When I filed the ROC, I had 2009, 2010 joint tax transcripts, a year's worth of statement from joint business account (we are both owners of a salon and work together everyday) Joint car Title, an invoice for a gold buillion investment along with a copy of the payment check (from joint account). Also we had just opened another joint personal bank account at another bank but only had 3 statements. The RFE letter said this account showed inconsistent activity. Also we had documents showing a joint safety deposit box. And we had car insurance documents showing both on the account. We also had drivers license of both spouses showing same address. We did not summit pictures or affadavits.

The thing is, we don't have any lease, mortgage, utility bills, etc because we live with my parents. I have lived with my parents for the last 10 years, and when my wife came over she has been living there to now. Is living with mom and dad and having no bills associated with owning a home or lease going to be a big problem?

Anyway, I've started gathering stuff to reply to the RFE. So far I used one of those internet law sites to draft 2 medical power of attorneys with living wills for each person (husband +wife), with each naming the spouse as the one to make decisions in case of incapacitation. As well, I've called my insurance company to open 2 term life insurance policies for each person and each policy naming the other one as benefactor. As well I've got ongoing statements from out joint business account. The other bank account we hardly ever use so i probably wont even summit them. I am also getting my parents to do an affadavit saying we live with them, as well as a neighbor saying we live at the address. Also we opened an Edward Jones account in Jan and will summit those statements. But i'm kind of freaking out over not having bills or leases or mortgages. Any suggestions?
