Anyway I was living in the states for around 4 years and I have just recently returned home for good. I was wondering if anyone knew if US driver licence will be valid in the UK? I did not have a licence in the UK before I left.

I plan on moving back to the UK for a while. I was wondering if anyone had any idea as to how long you are to stay out of the country with a 10 year green card.. My GC is good for at least another 9 years or so.

Well it has been a long hard road and now the only thing to do is too get my Citizenship :-) I was wondering how long after you receive GC do you have to wait untill you can apply for Citizenship?

Thanks for the quick response! Where do I file the I-131 Reentry permit? so are you saying that if you stay longer than 6 months then you have to file the I-131 Reentry permit? But if you are back before the 6 Months you dont need to file? Also I spoke with a lady from Immigration today and she never mentioned anything about this? She said that you can stay out of the country for just under 1 year as long as passport and GC are valid that would not be a problem?

I have had some unfortunate news from back home a family member is very sick and I need to go back to the UK. I was wondering if there was a timeframe of how long you can stay out of the U.S for? I have my 10 yr green card which I have just received. My U.K passport is Valid untill 2016 so I am okay there.

OMG!!!! OMG!!!! I was opening what i assumsped were a bunch of bills and rite at the very back, I was like #### WHAT NOW!!!! I proceded to open the letter anyway already deciding I hate the INS and out pocks my green card SO guys I am now a permanent 10 yr green card holder

I was just checking my case status online and I noticed that I have a different receipt #. My receipt # that is showing online is different from the one I have on my year extension letter? Is this common or do you think there is a problem. I was expecting to hear something by now regarding my case as I noticed CSC has been really efficient lately. Also if anyone has a number that you can call that is not automated so I can talk to someone about this.

Is it really necessary to turn up for the second Biometrics? I don't wan't to take more time off work if If it will be for nothing! They already have my fingerprints so there is no point going again is there? Did anyone actually get on the phone to the USCIS to ask them what is goin on? If so does anyone have a number that I can call?

I was just wondering if anybody knows why we are receiving 2 Biometrics letters? I checked my case status on-line and it only shows that they received my Petition to remove conditions on 5/18, but I sent my petition in on 4/18 and had my Biometrics done on 5/16? Can anyone shed any light on this.

I went for my Biometrics appointment on the 16th of this Month, I got home from work on Friday and my wife shown my yet another appointment letter asking me to attend another Biometrics appoint for 5/31 which is next saturday. Does anyone know what is going on? Is this just an oversight on CSC part, why are they sending me to Biometrics appointments? I guess I am going to have to call and find out what they are up too, I thought it was too good to be true for things just to run smoothly for a change. Does anyone have a number that I can call where I can actually speak to a person, rarther than a automated system.

I sent off my package on 4/21 and received my extension letter shortly after, I already have my Biometrics appointment tomorrow so it seems to be moving pretty fast. I am noticing that a few people are getting approved in like 6 Months at the CSC.

Hi, Do I need to take my passport to my Biometrics appointment tomorrow or is my permanent resident card fine?

I tried going to my assistant and updating the timeline but it does not show up when I view my profile?

Well nobody answered me but I realized I made a real blunder... I should of submitted the originals, I sent them of by FED EX today and they should get there by tomorrow. I put my A# on the front of the envelope and I also sent a cover letter explaining that I did not realize I had to submit the original Affidavits.. Do you think they will be able to match these with my previous evidence?

I read on here that you need to submit originals of the Affidavits, I only submitted copies of the Affidavits, could this call them to send out a RFE or does it not matter?

I noticed that people are able to put it when check was cashed on time line but it does not give you that option when I edit the time line? Also it is not showing up on my timeline?
