I was carrying this big and heavy bag with stuffs/evidences, but it's still safe to be prepared...THANK YOU VJ FAMILY YOU REALLY HELPED ME A LOT AND OF COURSE PRAYERS AND BEING POSITIVE, GOOD LUCK FOR EVERYONE WHO'S STILL WAITING AND ABOUT TO GO THRU THE INTERVIEW..

    PS:

    To mwilliams,

I just hitched in your post, i felt lazy in typing my own experience coz we just arrived home (cebu) from manila...thank you and congratz to us.

  2. - hi.. My ITR or my husband ITR? Thank u

    petitioner's ITR

After all the stress and long wait, it's finally over.

My appointment was for 6:15 am. My husband and I arrived at the embassy at 530. There were different lines separated by purpose and appointment time so we just asked the guard where to go for my schedule. After lining up, I realized I left my pen and my pictures, my husband had to go back to the hotel to get the pictures though in the end I did not need them. The pen was also only used twice, filling out the 2GO form and for the signature for DS230.

By 615, the line started to move forward. Near the gate there was some confusion because nobody was managing the lines but got fixed after some minutes. So at the gate, the person looked at the first page of my appointment letter, circled the time and then gave me the 2GO form. He also placed my passport in a transparent zip lock.

Almost 7am: First door to the embassy building was for security check where they really confiscated mobile phones and some items which are not allowed, most people had to go out and give their phones to friends or vendors outside for safe keeping. Some just threw the small stuff in the trash like lighter or perfume. Actually there were warnings about that even outside, the vendors were saying them repeatedly but the people in my line were saying like maybe it's not true, I, on the other hand, knew that it's not allowed so when someone asked me what I think I just say I read that it's not allowed so it's better not to have any of those things which are on the list.

After security, we went straight to the windows where they asked me if I already had my medical and what things they gave me, after that she just put number 1 on my appointment letter and stapled 6088(my number for the queue) and asked me to drop it at Window 39. We went straight to another building and there's another security check, after that, there was a woman waiting for people and she just collected our app letter instead of dropping it at Window 39. We sat down and waited for my number to be called.

At around 830: my number was called at Window 45. I wasn't expecting that it was already the Filipino consul waiting for me so my husband wasn't there beside me when I did the pre-screening but she said it's fine and just have him with me during the final interview. It took more than ten minutes for the pre-screening. The only document she asked was the 2011 tax form and then she looked at our pictures. She asked me the name of my husband, where I met him, his age, date of marriage, what he does, his first marriage and why it ended, about my in-laws, size of household. She was focused on the documents and was just taking notes. After that she just asked me to wait for my number to be called again.

Around 915: I was called at Window 42 for finger printing. My fingers were a little sweaty because of the mixed emotions so I had to do it twice hehe.

Around 10: I was called for the interview with the American consul at Window 64. My husband came with me this time. The consul gave me the pamphlet regarding domestic violence after the oath. Only two questions were asked to me, date of marriage and if I've been abroad before. He asked my husband where we intend to stay when we get to the US and that's it. After a minute of looking at the documents, he said 'everything looks good, please be seated again and wait for further instructions. That's it! No additional documents were asked. I brought a copy of my NBI, marriage cert, cenomar (which was not sent to NVC), birth cert and many more but they did not ask for them and my husband was just laughing at me because I printed so many copies of so many things, I wanted to be very sure and I don't regret it. hehe

At 10:10, our number was called again at window 71, the person there just said everything is ok now and just wait for my visa to be delivered, she then asked us to give our 2GO form at window 69 and I opted for pick up at one of their branches. We were out of the embassy by 1030.

I felt so good after that, my feet were a bit sore because I wore sandals with heels haha, and I was really tired because I didn't get much sleep the night before. Now, I can sleep better. This whole process has been stressful especially the month before the interview but it all went well. Just make sure to submit everything to NVC and you won't have a problem during the interview. And of course, pray a lot.

Thank you to my VJ family for all the help. Daghang salamat!

  3. Hi VJ's, finally i got my visa this morning at 9am..deliver to my apartment...thanks to God, all the stressed was totally washed out...

Funny 2go, because i received already my visa at 9am and at 12:20nn, i received a text messages from them and saying this "<Subj:US VISA PASSPORT> Your passport is ready for pickup at 2GO Outlet you selected. Thank You"..hahaha..it means they lack of communications from their head office to their satellites...(hey 2GO courier wake up!!)

How many days before you received your visa after the interview?

  4. We had our interview Nov 6. Seems the Embassy is in no hurry to process visas after that point. Nov 12, we spoke to a person there, and they still have not even been printed; but once they are, they are/might be?? forwarded to the 2GO company. The closer you are to Manila, the better/quicker you'll receive it. Some received them 3 days after the interview, at Mall of Asia, if they processed them. We are still looking at the end of this week at least...Nov 16 ?

and will be delivered to Cebu. Tracking number still says INVALID when we search for it. :-(

im also from Cebu...oh... i feel sorry for your delay and im worried too... well. i hope you get yours ASAP.. Please update if you received your visa already, it will be greatly appreciated...thanks for sharing your experience...

  6. I just came from DHL. I have my visa in hand. It was there since Tuesday but by the time I found out it was too late to go pick it up and they were closing early because of the hurricane. I did not choose the 'delivery option' but the 'hold for pick up option'.

The lady said 'do not open the brown envelope, you have until April 13, 2013 to leave the country'.

Persons who had their visas processed on on Tuesday now have to add at least two additional days to when they should have expected to pick up because of the embassy closure.

Now to work out POE date. I was planning on December but now that I have it I think I will go in November to 'activate it' and go back to tie up some things etc.

    This is great!

HI, How many days have you waited for your visa after the interview?

  7. good morning everyone i was just wondering something my husband and i have our interview on Dec 6, 2012 which is on a thursday i know that NVC tells you not to make any travel arrangement until after interview but everyone knows how times are right now and Dec flights are so expensive that i rather purchase my tickets now than after our interview being so that i have faith in God that everything is going to well God willing i feel an approval coming along so my question is..... is Dec 13th 2012 enough time for my husband to have his visa in hand ??? thats the day i plan to purchase tickets for please help and don't forget to keep my husband i in your prayers.....

  9. so i have hold myself back today from calling NVC because i'm praying for good news tomorrow someone told me that NVC usually issues there interview appointments on the 2nd of each month for the following month and i'm strongly praying that i am one of those lucky one to be issued an interview praying for Nov but hoping for Dec either month will be a blessing to me as long as i don't have to spend the hoildays without my husband or my kids it would really destroy me so i am pleading for everyone to join me in a praying that my husband and i get an interview date tomorrow!!!! God willing innocent.gifinnocent.gifinnocent.gifinnocent.gifinnocent.gifinnocent.gifinnocent.gif

Me too waiting for interview schedule notice.I would like to join your prayer.

  10. Hey Chris and Laura!

    Here are my two cents:

    1. It took my case 5 days to get to the NVC and the case number was assigned two days after that. Just for kicks, I would call the NVC today and give them your USCIS #. They should be able to tell you whether they've gotten your case file already. If they haven't, then wait until Monday or Tuesday and call again. Whenever they receive it, they will scan it and give it a case number. Once you get a case number, give them your email address and your spouse's. All communication with the NVC will be done through the phone or email, so make sure they have both of your emails.

    2. My recommendation is that you send your DS-3032 as soon as you get your case number. This might save a you some time - I wasn't aware that I could send my DS-3032 as soon as I had the case number and I just waited until the form was generated, which was a waste of time. The way things are going with the NVC these days, it could take you more than two weeks to get your IV bill generated (which for some other people has happened a couple of days to a week after they have emailed their DS-3032).

Now, the DS-3032 is the Choice of Address and Agent form. The NVC accepts both the physical copy and the digital one, but you don't need to send both (although you can). If you do opt for the email, make sure you send it from the beneficiary's email address. LingChe's NVC Shortcuts has a pretty good template of what that email would look like so check it out (sorry, I can't post links yet apparently, but you should be able to do a search and find it without a problem), but no matter how you put it together, you will need to include all the information that the actual DS-3032 has. You could pretty much just transcribe the form into an email, and make sure that your email includes all the NVC info requirements :

    * Name of the person submitting the inquiry

    * NVC case number or USCIS receipt number

    * Petitioner's name and date of birth

    * Principal Applicant's name and date of birth

As far as other stuff that you could be doing while you wait, you and your spouse can get all the civil documents you will need to send eventually and prepare the Affidavit of Support. Get a co-sponsor if you need one, and make sure you get all the necessary paperwork from that person as well. I don't know if this is the case for everyone, but the generated DS-3032 came in along with the AOS bill (you can just ignore the DS-3032 at that point if you already emailed it). Anyway, check out LingChe's shortcuts as you keep moving forward and remember to take it a step at a time.. this stuff can get a bit overwhelming. But, if you have any questions, just ask!

So... if you can, call tonight and see what they say.. you might get some good news!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

  11. Congrats on NOA2

Your next step will be to email DS3032 (CHOICE OF AGENT) From the Beneficiary email address here is the template.

They should have given you IIN (Invoice Identification Number) With they you will log on to the payment portal(CEAC.STATE.GOV) to see if the first fee payment has been generated once they have received and accepted your DS3032 which take more or less about 1wk. Below are some helpful links please review them so you can have a general idea of what to expect after NOA2!

NVC Case No: <NVC Case Number>

CIS Case No: <USCIS Case Number> or <NOA Receipt Number>

    Petitioner's Name: <Petitioner's Name LAST FIRST MI>

    Petitioner's Date of Birth: <MONTH DD, YYYY> i.e. January 01, 1951

    Beneficiary's Name: <Beneficiary's Name LAST FIRST MI>

    Beneficiary's Date of Birth: <MONTH DD, YYYY> i.e. January 01, 1951

  13. Well looks like we are both in same stage. You are brave to have the documents sent by postal mail. I too am waiting on husbands IV BILL Packet.

Interesting that the operator would elect September 17th. I wounder is that their imaginary cut off interview queue date for the next month. Hmmm. I so wish we could be like K1 filers and let the embassy just slot us in. Seems there's a BIG disconnect with embassy and NVC with our cases. Well wait we most.

Here's to packages accepted and Case Close soonest

I sent my IV packet October 16, 2012 .... really hoping to spend first wedding anniversary and Christmas with my husband in USA.
