We're going to file for my removing of conditions on June. Just curious if I can apply for US passport after getting my 10 year GC or whatever extension of staying here. Kinda wandering cuz we're planning to visit my family back in the Phil. My passport is still on my maiden name on it too. Do i have to file paperworks to change my maiden name to my married name? Do I still have to file Advance Parole in order to travel outside US after getting the 10 year GC? Little bit confused... Hope to get some answers and advices from you guys.

We only got asked the basic questions - Full name, Where I am living, date of birth, ssi number (handed over my card), and when I made port of entry into the US.

We only handed over the bare minimum of paperwork - joint bank account details from the last few months, health insurance details, and a vets bill (seemed to work !). Nothing else was asked in the oh so long 10 minute interview.

Now a nice long 18 month or so break from paperwork, until we have to file to lift conditions.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it a lot. Oh, I forgot to include this question if my husband can answer some of the questions too or not? Or only (me) the applicant will answer all the questions?

congrats!!!......... anyone know what are the common questions they asked during the AOS interview? They said its kinda easy but im still curious about it. My interview is on September 11, is it a bad luck,hehe. Hope its a good luck for me.

after a very long battle, I have finally received a date for my immigration interview. Does anyone else have a date set for Friday October the 13th? With working full time and going to school full time I can't believe I made time to post! So apologies if someone else has already posted this.

Dont worry about the dates, my interview is on September 11 itself which we knew what happen that day,hehe.

I just wanted to encourage some of you that if you have faith and hope and with God's help, all will be well.

Here's our time line:

2/23/06 - mailed I-129F

4/13/06 - NOA1 received

5/12/06 - NOA2 received

5/26/06 - NVC received I-129F

5/31/06 - application was qualified - Manila Embassy

6/20/06 - requested an earlier visa appointment

6/27/06 - received packet 4 & granted with an earlier appointment

8/3/06 - Medical check up

8/10-06 - visa appointment/interview

We are still hoping to and keep trusting that in God's hand all will be well, God willing

I will be going back to the Philippines when my fiancee has her interview. I plan on attending the interview with her. Does anyone have any experience with this? Anything you could share with me would be greatly appreciated. I have found lots of embassy interview experiences here and on asawa, but none seem to have any experiences where the filipina had her fiance with her.

Congratulations to those who got their visa and interview dates and good luck to those who still waiting specially to patiently waiting, hope you will hear from the embassy soon.....

I know bout the 550 php terminal fee but what is a travel tax and who has to pay for it?

Your fiancee will pay for the travel tax, she can pay it at the airport. My fiance was upset before cuz when he bought the ticket, tax was already included and why I have to pay for the travel tax. I asked from the information and I had to still pay for the travel tax. Thats their regulation,pay travel tax when you leave the country,hehehe... It doesnt matter, what matters most is you and her being together forever...

Speaking of fees, how much is the airport exit fees? in other words how much of a fee will my fiancee have to pay to leave the country? also can anyone recomend a cheap hotel near the airport in manila? my fiancee has an early flight and i dont want her to have to get to the airport at midnight because of no taxis during the night.

oh as you may have guessed got visa and cfo stamp. I was glad they didn't try to persuade my fiancee not to come by telling her that i would beat her. i had heard of that happening. but of course they did ask her why not marry a filipino. Oh well doesn't matter by may 31st 4:30 pm i will be hugging my love at the airport.

Your fiancee will fee Php 1,620.00 for the Travel Tax and Php 550.00 for the Terminal Fee when she leave the country. She can pay all that at the airport, she just need to go to the airport as she can. Like in our trip, we went there 3 hours before the flight but we just finished doing things like 45 minutes before the flight cuz its always busy at the airport.

Delbros fee is 165Php within manila. It may differ maybe where he wants to deliver his visa. It will be good that he will stay in manila till the visa delivered. Thanks.......
