Thanks for the link. I checked and It says "Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160). Also, in the "Before You Start" note, it gives a link on the typles of visa which leads to a page for Types of Visas for Temporary Visitors.

IR1/CR1 is an immigrant visa for spouses of US Citizens...

Hi, my wife just got her interview schedule thru the online appointment system. It says she needs to bring along with her, a CEAC Confirmation letter along with other requirements. I found a lot of info about K visas not requiring CEAC letter, but couldn't find info about IR1/CR1. Any help?

I sent the forms thru e-mail today and was informed to wait for a week or two before I can schedule my wife's interview since they need time to upload her details to their sysem. If you don't mind, do you have an idea when is the soonest time for an interview schedule? Thanks again.

Hi, I have received an update from the embassy that Packet 3 has been mailed for my wife and son's petition. I do not wish to wait for the packet so I printed the DS-230 and DS-2001 and plan to submit it to the embassy directly. I am from Cebu and was wondering if I am able to get the interview schedule on the same day I submit the forms, so I can bring my wife and son along with me to Manila so they can have their medical the next day. I do not wish to come back and forth to Manila so I was just wondering if anyone knows about my concern. Thanks!

Hi, I got a little clarification.

I filed I-130 petitions for my wife and son last July 25. On August 28, I sent an inquiry to the embassy regarding the status of my petitions. I got this response:

"The petitions were approved on 22AUG12.  For immigrant visa processing, contact the Immigrant Visa Section at IVManilaReplies@state.gov."

I then sent an e-mail on the given e-mail add regarding the next step. I got an auto-response email saying I would get a response within 7 working days regarding my concern.

Anyhow, I just want to know if I can alreadt go to the embassy to submit the DS-230 and DS-2001, or should I wait first for a GO signal from the Visa Section?
